Chapter 47

　　* Pedro's POV*

　　I leaned back on the sofa in the study. My wound wasn't that hurt after taking the pills. I put down the file, closed my eyes, and tried to take a break.

　　But suddenly, I opened my eyes. I felt like my heart was gripped by someone. My intuition was telling her that something was wrong. But I didn't know what it was.

　　I frowned, looked around, and wanted to find out what was different.

　　Finally, I realized that it might be because of CORA.

　　I used to hear her sing in the room. Later, she didn't sing much, but I could still hear her walking in her room or moving the chair sometimes. Even if the sound was slight, I still could hear it from time to time.

　　But that night, her room was very quiet, and there was no sound at all.

　　It was abnormal.

　　I stood up and walked out to the balcony. Her room was completely dark. It seemed there was no one in the room.

　　I was worried. I called a maid over and asked her to go to check Cora's room.
