Chapter 34

　　When I woke up in the morning, Pedro had already left.

　　My body was sore. Probably because I had to attend the banquet, he was gentle last night and didn't leave many traces on me.

　　I wasn't fond of shopping and didn't plan to go out, so I had brunch leisurely. Pedro said I could use his card, but I didn't want to. Reading was always my favorite way to kill time.

　　Pedro came to take me to the banquet. I especially looked at his wrist. When I saw the scallop-shaped cuff, I couldn't help but smile.

　　I glanced at Pedro. But he didn't look at me. He had no expression on his face.

　　I pouted and withdrew my smile.

　　The banquet hall was much larger than the party in the Mercado pack and was decorated sumptuously. A huge multiple-layer crystal chandelier hung in the center of the hall, shining. The ground was paved with marble, reflecting the crystal chandelier's golden light. Men and women were all dressed in evening dresses and looked elegant and gorgeous.
