Demon Lord's Revival

Wendy, a 16 year old archaeology student in the university of Tokyo was tasked to go to the mountains with a team of 5 classmates to check out a dig site. Reports say that a giant castle was behind beneath the mountain and no animal dared to enter the place.

They finally arrived at their destination when they saw the giant doors that was about 10 meters tall. " Maybe this is a demon king's castle." her classmate Will teased. " Very funny Wi-." but before her classmate could finish her sentence, a powerful lightning struck their location and killed all of them. Wendy who was the only survivor fell into tears as she witnessed he classmates death.

She went inside the car and tried to turn it on but it seems the the lightning earlier broke the engine. She had no choice but to stay inside because a storm suddenly appeared. At midnight, she heard a cracking sound that woke her up. She tried to track where the sound was coming from until he noticed the giant doors were slowly opening. She went out of the car and ran away frightened. She ran as fast as she could but she found herself at front of the giant doors as soon as she stops. She had no choice left but to enter.

The moment she set foot on the entrance, the torches lit up leading down to a spiral staircase. She was shocked to see torches lighting up by themselves in order. It felt like she had entered a horror house. When she was inside, the doors behind her closed, blocking her chance to escape. " What bad luck" she thought. She went down the stairs but it seemed to be endless. She's been walking for nearly 30 minutes but still could not see the bottom.

After one hour of walking down the stairs, the arrived at the deepest part and found 2 doors slightly smaller than the entrance which is about 5 meters tall. She pushed the doors open and to her surprise, it was not as heavy as it looks. It was like pushing a normal door, but bigger. She entered the room and saw a giant stone in the center. Moonlight from the window illuminated it which made it seem to sparkle.

" Touch it." A voice of a woman whispered through her ear. There was no one around so she thought she was only hearing things.

" Touch it. Don't be afraid." the same voice whispered again. This time, she was sure she's not hearing things and touched the stone.

The moment the tip of her fingers touched the stone, it cracked and a man with pale skin and red eyes came out. He was wearing black clothes which complimented his looks.

" Wha-!" Wendy could not finish her words due to shock. " Who are you?" the man's deep voice got her back to her senses. " I'm Wendy. By the way, I think you should rest now. You only woke up." she said while suppressing her shock. " I've been asleep for a thousand years and your making me sleep more?" the man said in a mocking tone. Wendy could not believe in what she heard. " 1000 yeas? Don't kid me! Who are you anyways?" she released all her feelings at the same time, but soon her face flushed realizing that she lost her cool.

The man chuckled lightly and said, " I Philip Von Earlstead, the successor of the demon lord's throne has returned.". Wendy wasn't sure if the guy was telling the truth or crazy so she tried to confirm it. " Try to show me real magic if your a demon lord" she said with a smile on her face. There's no way a demon lord would exist, and if it does, it's only in books and movies. Philip just smiled and held out his hand. Suddenly, a dark aura started coming out from his body and a shadow appeared in his palm which transformed into a lance. " This is Reaper, the world's strongest lance which was born from the crushed pride of humans" he bragged.

Wendy finally gave up and let out a sigh and asked, " Fine I believe you but, why were you in that stone?" "My father, the past demon lord sealed me in there so that I will be safe form humans." he said with a depressed look. Upon hearing these words, Wendy felt sorry for asking something so personal. She wanted to apologize but her words were stuck in her throat. " By the way, are you the one that freed me?" Philip asked which made the speechless Wendy return to her senses. She was so caught up in thinking of a was too apologize that she forgot about Philip. " Y-yeah" she replied a little nervous, but to her surprise the man was smiling. It was like his depressed face earlier was just an act. He sighed, looked at Wendy's eyes and knelt down. " Will you marry me?" he asked as he pulled out a golden ring topped with a black diamond from his pocket. " Wh-Wh-what?!" Wendy's scream can be heard echoing throughout the entire mountain.
