Mu Hanxia lay on the bed, motionless.
It felt as though she was walking in a snowy, icy world. The cold wind seemed to be blowing out from her heart, filling her whole body.
When she thought about tomorrow, she was not filled with hope anymore, but faced a fog as dark and tumultuous as a labyrinth, making her uneasy.
She got up, walked into the simple, mottled bathroom, and took a long hot shower. She scrubbed her skin until it turned red before she came out.
She collapsed on the bed and wrapped herself up in the blanket.
Exhausted.
She soon fell asleep.
——
At dawn, another proud sun shyly emerged on the horizon.
Mu Hanxia and He Jing were sitting downstairs of the supermarket, eating breakfast.
He Jing noticed that Mu Hanxia was particularly quiet today. Staring at Mu Hanxia's swollen eyes, she asked, "What's wrong with you? Is something the matter?"
Mu Hanxia smiled, "Nothing, I'm still able to climb mountains and fight tigers just as before."
