F**k That Elf - 6

The drow then glances up and studies the ceiling of the cavern for a moment. Before concluding that all is right before the dancing lights turn off. "I forgot about that." "For fucks sake." "I'm tired, are you a tired monk?" The drow starts to drag bodies out of the main area. "Would you like to join me for a rest monk?" The drow recasts dancing lights in the small corner at the back of the room while digging in her bag, picking up scraps of cloth from the area but they crumble to dust. "Do you have a blanket in your sack monk?" "Unfortunately I do not." The drow turns off the lights, steps to the right, and changes out of her bloody clothes before digging into her disguise kit and pulling out a black leather dress that she changes into to hide the wounds she received. She steps back around the corner and recasts the dancing lights. "Well, I'm done. Is there anything you need to do before we head out, monk?" "We need sleep." The drow agrees, and the two of them move corpses again making a defensible location for the evening as they take a long rest. After a night of rest, the drow's wounds healed and closed.

The drow tries to sneak out of the room without the monk waking and sneaks down the only passageway they haven't gone down and spots one of the creatures above the walkway. The drow tries to sneak around the creature and searches the corpse below her quietly. She finds another handful of teeth and more spears on the ground. She glances up and sees the creature has not moved. She sees that the creature is thirty feet above the ground. The drow tries to move the corpse to be directly under the creature, then tries to sneak back towards the monk, grabbing one of the lizard corpses and sneakily trying to drag it without waking the monk, but the monk wakes to the sound of the bones and flesh snapping as the drow rogue yanks on it like it was a carpet. The drow then picks up the corpse, and tries to toss the body on top of the other corpse under the creature she had spotted, but is only able to scoot the creature over as the creature falls on the corpse, and shatters its hide, making it bleed all over the two piled corpses. The drow thinking quickly takes out a hammer from her thieves tools and hits the creature in the head, but only lightly bonks it on the head, trying to knock it unconscious, but fails, the drow then rolls back and presses herself against the wall, before moving further back into the chamber the two-party members had cleared before trying to hide, and stubs her toe on a rock she didn't notice and exclaims "Ow fuck! Shit! Oh my god, ow!" as her curses echo through the cave. The human thinks about throwing a rock at the drow, and then tosses it blindly, hitting the drow in the back of the head, "Shut the hell up!" "You ass! Ow, my toe ow my head you ass." ''Oh, be quiet." The drow looks back over at the human and frowns, then sighs, and steps back around the corner, having lost sight of the slug creature.

"It's gone." The drow stomps back into the room and hugs the right wall, and begins to gather the two usable arrows that are left. "Ouch.. that hurt." The drow goes back to sit next to the monk on top of a corpse and stares at the monk in his face, casting dancing lights, making only one light above the two of them five feet in the air. The two of them watch as three rays of green light begin to rotate in different directions. "Hmmm. In my life's line of work, I don't get to see beautiful things. But that…. That is beautiful." The drow rests her back against the monks. Instead of an eight-hour rest, because of the drow's actions, it is a ten-hour long rest. The drow again casts dancing lights while looking in her bag and eats a ration. The monk wakes to the sound of munching and lights flickering so he stands up, making the drow fall on her back. "Ow!" "I'm sorry, were you using me as a support?" "I was a bit yes." "Then all the more reason to do that," he says with a smile. "I always thought it was a man's job to support a woman." "Well seeing as how you're an elf… I see no woman, only a being to spot traps." "Hmm. Very interesting. Ahhhhh oh well, good morning. Would you like a ration?" "I have special drow food here. Mushrooms, insects bits, nice lean fat grub." "Sorry I filled up on the slug… whatever it was, the thing we killed the other day." "Ahhh had your fill huh monk." "I'll just eat another one if I get hungry." "That's gross and might make you die. Let's get out of here." "I'm down with that."

The monk moves ahead of the drow forty feet, just outside the range of the lights. The drow moves thirty feet bringing the human back into the light. The drow gets up close to the human. "You know, you have been of very big help, and I do appreciate it. But there is one problem." "What could that be?" "Well, the problem is that you saw my face…. But you do take vows. Are you willing to take a vow that you have never seen my face?" ''If you are referring to a vow of silence?" "Only about me." "No need to speak of you again, or think of you, or see you. I was paid to help you, and I helped you, and that's it." "I have your word?" The human nods and moves ahead forty feet around the corner heading back towards the entrance of this cavern, the drow follows, and he begins to hear what sounds to him like chittering. The drow grabs the monk's robes and tries to pull him into cover and hide. "Shhh I wouldn't go around there, that's a lot of chittering around the corner." She dispels her lights and grabs the monk's hand in the darkness. Little did they know the local tribe of kobolds that had been sending their warriors and workers into the cave to mine had finally gathered enough courage to attempt to push them back into the cave, speaking to each other in their lizard-like language. "Go go… get stuff back, yes!" "Dark, scary, dark." "You go that way. You go the other way." "You, you, you, you in the hole!" Many of these kobolds scramble into the hole the drow, and humans first discovered on their way into the cavern as the kobolds seem to take up a chant. The human and drow being frozen start to hear it as well. But they do not understand anything being said but do catch the feeling of easy banter, laughing, then the footsteps all of a sudden just stop. The drow pokes her head out from around the human peering into the darkness. A spear flies by almost hitting the monk. "Oh shit they saw us, that's not very good!" the drow exclaims as the rest of the four kobolds also throw their spears. "This is a baaaaad situation, I think their friends came back… One, two, three…. Four I see five…. I think there might be more." The swarm of flying spears goes into the human, five of the spears impaling him, the first he snatches out of the air, then sends it flying back at the one that had thrown it at him. The drow takes a five-foot step to the right of the human, hitting a kobold solidly in the chest, and assassinating it with a single arrow, the kobold drops to the ground. Then the drow drags the human backward around the corner, and places herself in front of the human, trying to hide the two of them in the darkness. The monk starts to pull out the spears inside of him, getting the first spear out of him painlessly closing his eyes. There is the sound of a yip as one of the kobolds in the branching path has one of the cave slugs fall upon him, causing panic to erupt in the kobold's retrieval party, many of the ones in the hole scrambling out of it and running back towards the entrance.
