The thought caused my heart to pound, and it was all I could do not to rub my chest. The past few weeks had been amazing. Not only being here in this beautiful area surrounded by nature and fresh air, getting to go at a slower, easier pace, but being with Wade. Getting to know him. Enjoying his company and his body and just him. Preston and I were complete as we were, and had many incredibly happy years together. But now there was Wade, and he fit with us, and the thought of leaving him behind and trying to live without him made me heartsick.
“Sawyer?”
I had to shield my eyes so I could see his gorgeous face. “What?”
Wade frowned, glanced at the lake again, then gave me his full attention. After a second, he squatted so we were on a level, and I got distracted for a second at his powerful thighs and remembering what they felt like wrapped around me.
Wade touched my cheek. “Are you all right?”
