Bandits Return

"Finally!" Daniel sighed in relief as he saw the notification he had been eagerly waiting for a long time.

[Congratulations! You have reached level 150!]

[You are now eligible to travel to the next city!]

"Awesome! I reached level 150 in just 3 hours!" He exclaimed at his astounding achievement. He was thrilled to travel to the next city. He fed a few red berries to Lumi, noticing the weary look on her face.

Lumi noticed him taking out the berries, immediately jumping up and snatching the berries away from his hand. Daniel chuckled, seeing her struggling so hard to eat all the berries in one go.

He now had to head back to the city to wrap everything up and travel to the next city. The thought of walking on foot instead of teleporting struck his mind, but he decided not to do so, seeing his slothful movement.

He opened the teleportation book, selecting the Greenwood City as his destination. Soon, with a bright flash, he was teleported back the the MagicWood inn. He got up from the ground, packed his stuff, and headed out of the inn.

Savoring the Breathtaking scenery of the city for one last time, He leisurely walked to a carriage, asking the driver for the fare to travel to the next city.

"It will take 100 coins." The carriage driver replied rudely, picking his nose. Daniel was disgusted at the sight of it, but the reality was, that all the carriage drivers in the city were rude to players. Some even caused unnecessary trouble for players.

Wisely opting to avoid confrontation, Daniel exhaled a measured breath and stated flatly, "Take me there." The words hung in the air, neither overtly rude nor graced with courtesy.

The driver's brow furrowed, irked by Daniel's enigmatic expression. With a sharp jerk of the reins, he spurred the horses into motion, leather cracking like a thunderclap. The carriage's wheels rumbled against the cobblestone streets as they departed.

As the carriage left the city, Daniel looked behind, having mixed feelings about leaving the city. He had stayed in this city for 4 months and now he was going far away, probably never returning. But then, he was also happy about being able to leave the city so he could explore more places.

"Ah… I shouldn't immerse myself too much into this game." He shook his head and chuckled. He gently patted Lumi's head, putting her on his lap comfortably.

One hour passed and Daniel was about to reach the city soon. He let Lumi rest well in his lap while staying cautious of potential threats.

Suddenly, the horses halted, jolting Lumi awake from her slumber. Daniel quickly jumped out of the carriage, observing the surroundings. He walked to the carriage driver and asked him what was wrong.

"W-well… looks like there are bandits surrounding us." The driver stuttered as he spoke. He looked at the bandits circling the carriage. He panicked, his legs trembling in fear.

"Daniel, we found you!" The leader of the bandits shouted, attracting Daniel's attention towards him. The leader looked familiar to him. He immediately recognized him. "The bandit leader!" These were the same bandits who were chasing after him.

"What do you want?!" Daniel shouted, not scared of the bandits anymore. He would be a fool if he was still scared of some level 120 bandits. He took out his sword, gripping it tightly in his hands, ready to fight.

The bandits charged at him first, throwing deadly projectiles at him. Daniel's agility saved him from these aerial attacks. He had already anticipated the bandits to do this and hid Lumi inside the carriage.

He dashed toward the closest bandit, he swung his greatsword, slicing the bandit in half before he could even react. The other bandits went on alert mode. They didn't know that Daniel would be this powerful.

Some of them trembled in fear, seeing how their comrade ended up in a matter of seconds. They stepped back, tightening their grip on their weapons.

Daniel smirked upon seeing the bandits fearing him. "Yes… just like that… fear me!" He shouted like a maniac. Lumi peeked out of the carriage, almost wanting to facepalm looking at her master's behavior.

Daniel rushed at the other bandits, killing them without showing any mercy. These bandits had caused him a lot of trouble, now, it was his time for revenge. "Grahhk!" He pierced the throat of a bandit lying on the ground with his sword, instilling fear in the hearts of the other bandits.

"Retreat! He is too strong!" The bandits panicked and ran like a lion was after them. Daniel chuckled, chasing after them effortlessly. While this fight was taking place, the carriage driver fainted from disgust, seeing Daniel cut his enemies mercilessly.

"Where are ya running off to?" Daniel said as he smashed the face of a bandit on the ground. He stomped over his head using his foot.

"Guhh!" The bandit cried before losing his life. The other bandits ran even faster now. They were shocked at seeing Daniel's unbelievable speed. He was catching up to them in a matter of seconds. His agility and strength sent chills down their spines.

After 2 minutes, only 3 bandits remained alive. They were lying on the ground, begging for mercy from Daniel. He kicked the leader in the face, making him cough blood. The other two bandits were the right and left arms of the leader. These guys had caused Daniel an immeasurable amount of trouble He didn't want to grant them an easy death.

He slowly pierced the neck of William, the right hand of the leader. Blood gushed out of William's neck, making him scream in pain before falling lifeless on the ground.

The other two bandits stared at Daniel as if he were the reaper who came to reap their souls. They cried, begging for mercy.

Daniel didn't give a shit about it and slowly stabbed the left hand of the leader, Brown. Now, only the leader remained alive, utterly shocked by witnessing his trusted comrades' painful death.

He was now completely silent, waiting for his death. Daniel grabbed him by the collar, dragging him to the pack of wolves nearby. He cut his legs and threw him in front of the wolves.

"Nooo… Please save me!" The leader cried, his voice echoing throughout the forest. Daniel was a monster when it came to taking revenge. He didn't know how to show mercy on his enemies.

He quietly walked back to the carriage, slapping the driver once and waking him up. The driver caressed his red cheek, feeling immense pain from the slap.

He quickly climbed up into the driver's seat, making the horse move the carriage once again. With that, they left the bloody battle ground and once again headed toward the city.
