Don Roberto had walked out on Alfredo Caruso having no time to indulge in the man's affairs. His next stop was back in his office where the Armillos as he had ordered were waiting for him.
Armillo was an example of the kind of man Don Roberto was glad he never had to be - a pathetic, bumbling idiot. The Armillos had worked for his father, grandfather, great grandfather, and far back in his generations but this generation of Armillo was the most miserable sight ever. He was worth nothing to Don Roberto, the man was an unambitious one who if not for the success of his forefathers would have been nowhere today.
As soon as he entered his office, Armillo and his wife shot up from their seat, almost falling over themselves in greeting him.
