Deadly Monster
A sharp breath escaped her when Benjamin turned towards where she stood watching him.
"Come out, daughter," he said, his voice hoarse, humor in his tone.
Annalise felt panic sink into her stomach, she quickly ducked back into the office, her back resting on the wall. Her breath came out in shallow gasps.
"Annalise…"
Oh, God! Oh, God! He knew she was here.
He had killed Giovanna.
She had seen him.
He knew she had seen him.
Her eyes moved around the office, her only escape now was the windows and that was not an option.
Was it to be killed by Benjamin or killed by jumping off a high-story building?
She didn't like either of her options.
With her chest still pounding, she tucked the flash drive into her shirt, nestling it in her bra before slowly making her way outside.
