Dangerous Lust

A man who seemed to be in the same age bracket as the ones outside was standing by the window, clad in nothing but a towel loosely tied around his waist.

He turned completely to face her at the sound of the door, he was holding a glass that he sipped from as his eyes accessed her.

She had thought Sir Enzo's eyes were leering but this man, whoever he was, was worse. He looked at her like he was a starved animal and she was his meal, served on a platter for his pleasure and Annalise didn't feel any more different than that, after all, he had probably requested for her and Nicolás, her husband had delivered.

"Close the door behind you, love." He said.

Annalise wanted to do the opposite, she wanted to run out of the room, out of the suite, out of the hotel, out of her own body and she wanted to yell her lungs out while she was at it.

Nicolás was the most despicable person alive and she hated him as she'd never hated anyone or anything before. She didn't think she was capable of hatred, she couldn't remember hating anyone but now that she was truly realizing what it meant to hate someone, she had never felt anything so intense.

She spared a glance his way and saw he was looking at her, his expression blank.

Annalise slammed the door shut.

"That's a good girl." Sir Umberto said walking towards the center table where there was a bottle and another glass Annalise presumed was for her.

Repulsion coursed through her at the sight of him but she had been trained to know that her feelings didn't matter, they never had and they certainly wouldn't now so she put up a pleasant look on her face and slowly approached him.

"Do sit," He said, tapping the spot next to him.

Annalise looked at the spot his hands were on and if looks could burn, she was pretty sure the couch would be on fire but still, she walked towards him and sat next to him, perching herself on it.

His eyes moved from her face down to her chest, his gaze shameless.

"I'm sir Umberto, a pleasure to meet you." He said.

Annalise simply nodded.

"You, my dear, are magnificent." He breathed out, lust laced in his tone.

Annalise found her tongue too heavy in her mouth to allow her to speak so she simply watched him. He poured the content of the bottle into the glass and handed it to her.

She shook her head, only a fool would collect whatever was being offered.

"No, thank you."

"I insist." He said, pushing the drink onto her hand until she was forced to collect it.

He moved closer to her and Annalise moved further, any more and she would find herself on the floor.

He smiled at her but somehow even that aggravated her repulsion.

"It's just you and I tonight my dear, why don't you let loose and just enjoy tonight? Okay?" He asked.

"Please, don't do th..."

A loud gunshot outside the room caused her plea to die on her lips. Sir Enzo shot up from the chair, a look of utter worry on his face just as the door flung open and Nicolás stepped in, gun in hand. He slammed the door shut behind him.

"Sir Umberto," He said smiling. "Looking quite..."

He furrowed his brows as his eyes accessed Sir Umberto's almost naked unattractive body.

"Appropriate," He said.

"What the hell are you doing? This wasn't the deal!" Sir Umberto yelled angrily. His whole body trembling and his face reddened, Annalise had no idea if it was out of anger or embarrassment.

"Sit down sir," Nicolás said, pointing the gun at him.

He swallowed but sat back down glaring daggers at Nicolás.

"Come over to this side, sweetheart," Nicolás said, nodding at Annalise. She scrambled up and moved towards the bed.

Her heart was beating faster now. She noticed there was no blood on Nicolás and she hoped it meant he hadn't killed or harmed either of the men outside as the gunshot had indicated.

He brought out stapled paper from his inner pocket and threw it at Sir Umberto, it slapped him on the face and fell to the floor.

"Go on, sign that. You're the only one left now." He said.

Sir Umberto chuckled. "You think you can break your words and force me to do this. Never! You are never working with us, Nicolas! Go to hell!" He yelled.

Nicolás shrugged and tucked the gun into his waistband. "I figured you'd say that." He brought out his phone and swiped on the screen before turning it towards Sir Umberto.

Annalise saw the blood on his face drain and he went white as a sheet at whatever was being displayed on the phone, she wished she knew what it was but the phone was completely turned from her.

"Anything could happen now, it wouldn't be my fault you see. La tua scelta - your choice." He said.

"If you dare harm a hair on their head, I will kill you!" Sir Umberto swore angrily.

"It will all be on you Umberto, make your choice carefully now huh?" Nicolás nodded at the papers that were on the floor.

Sir Umberto picked it up wordlessly and Nicolás threw a pen at him, it landed on the side of his head. Annalise saw the older man work hard to control his anger before picking up the pen too, he grabbed the paper, and scribbled his signature on it before handing it back to Nicokás.

"You might have gotten what you wanted but you realize you've made quite an enemy, the three of us? You have no escape from this." Sir Umberto threatened in a tone that sent shivers down Annalise's spine.

"Oh, no, we're just getting started." Nicolás said before turning to face Annalise. "Go wait by the car, a driver will be coming to take you home. You've played your part well as usual."

Analise stood up hesitantly looking from him to the other man who despite how hard he tried couldn't stop his shock and fear from flickering in his eyes.

"Isn't she wonderful, Umberto? I can understand why you'd be lusting over her but you should have known."

He paused and said in a bone-chilling tone.

"I am a profoundly jealous and possessive man, you never should have set your eyes on my woman. That was your first mistake."

And in a swift motion, he pulled out the gun and shot Sir Umberto on the foot.
