Didi sits aside in the large courtyard, watching Pip and GS play a hologame. The roar of the two armies they manipulate hums in the background, the corbie squeaking and flapping his excitement while the stoic gunslinger advances his troops. She's only barely paying attention, staring out over Oasis through the plasglass, things she's never felt before bubbling inside her.
At least she found the gunslinger safe and sound, doing some recon of his own in the labs, his agreement at the suggestion of a private talk instant and gratifying.
"GS." She knows he'll hear her despite the noise of the game, the way the stomping soldiers in ancient garb clash with knights on horseback while Pip cackles his glee. "You know Bo's gone."
The gunslinger pauses the game with a wave of his hand while the cyborg crow cries out his protest.
"You only did that because I'm winning." Pip's complaint makes Didi laugh.
"Hush up," she says. "This is important."
