Dr Nigal Revan, a pioneer in the field of science. That was how he viewed himself. How the world viewed him was far different, the complete opposite in fact. A madman, a quack, some even went so far as to claim he lacked intelligence, but none would dare to say those words again if they saw him now.
However, Dr Revan wasn't swayed by their hurtful words all those years ago, he cared not for the opinions of stubborn fools and pompous scientists whose only goal was to please the man above them in hopes of receiving a reward.
'I didn't care for their words all those years ago, when they berated me, mocked me... they made their beds and now they must lie in them. They can try to make amends with platitudes and niceties but their false support means nothing to me. The only reason I'm putting up with their pompous attitudes is to secure the funding I need for my research, the very same research they scoffed at before.'
