[First Arc] Devils and Mask

After leaving the room, Hannah was about to eat her lunch, but her headache suddenly got worse.

A female nurse welcomes Hannah as she enters the infirmary after she opens the door. She appears mature, has light violet hair that has been pulled back in a ponytail, and is wearing a white lab coat.

"Hello Hannah, what seems to be the problem?"

"Ms. Denice, can I use one of the beds?" I don't feel really good."

Hannah was seated in front of her after she gave her a glance. "Um," she said as she performed a few examinations. "That must be because of stress; don't worry, you'll be OK after you get your rest. "You are welcome to sleep in here until you feel better."

Hannah bows and lies down on the bed.

I put on a really thick mask because I want to appear perfect in front of my parents and kind and mature in front of my friends. However, I'm not afraid that my parents will be angry at me; rather, I'm afraid that once they realize that I'm not the girl they were hoping for, they will be disappointed and I'll be left alone.

"Yuan," she muttered.

a person who is the same as me and wears a very thick mask. I don't even know if we are really friends. That's how thick that guy's mask is, but the difference is that he wears it by choice. I don't know what his reasons are, but unlike him, I wear a mask because I'm scared of being left alone.

Hannah jumps on the bed as she turns her head to the left. The nurse is startled by her sudden behavior.

She suddenly feels weird.

A single drop of sweat flowed down the side of her face. As her face became more pale, she thought that maybe she was just really tired and laid down on the bed once again and closed her eyes.

"Eh, I can't believe that you did that."

"I'm embarrassed to be your parent!"

"You are a disgrace."

"Did you know? Hannah is not someone that we all think of. "She is actually a bad person."

"You actually need to study this hard to pass?" "You're not smart after all."

"You're not our friend anymore!"

"LIAR!"

Hannah yells "AHHH!" as she leaps off the bed; her face is drenched in sweat, and her breathing is incredibly rapid and erratic.

"Hannah, are you okay?" "Calm down; it's just a dream." Ms. Denice is looking at her with a worried expression, but after a few seconds, Hannah's breathing starts to go back to normal.

I see. It's just a dream.

"Maybe you're more tired than I thought." "You should go home for today and take some rest," the school nurse smiled at her. She looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was almost time to go home.

She takes her bag and gets out of bed. "Thank you, Ms. Denice."

After she bowed, she left the infirmary.

--Later that night in Yuan's room

"So did you find the devil or any clue about it?"

"No, but I have found a slut though, hmp!" She looks away.

"What have you been doing this whole day?" Yuan stares at her with disappointment.

She gave an apologetic look while saying "sorry."

Sweat flowed down on Levias' face (now that I think about it, I didn't do anything today aside from listening to those two girls talk; what should I do?) Her face started to get pale as she thought about how Yuan would react once he found out.

"So about the investigation?"

"I also found out that human girls are coloring their hair and nails." "So weird, right?"

Yuan's face darkened as he stood. "I see, that's how it is, huh?" "You have been completely useless."

He massages his temple as he sits properly while facing Levia, who is sitting on the floor.

"Levia, haven't you noticed yet that some of you, soul guides, love to cheat?"

Levia makes a puzzled face as she says, "Cheat?"

Levia is getting more and more confused.

"Tell me what your actual mission is; read it from your list." I didn't ask before because I just don't care, but read it anyway."

Levia went "ok" as she opened the menu and tapped the mission button.

From there, she saw Yuan's personal information, like his name, age, and sexuality, and on the bottom, she saw a box containing her mission.

For your first mission, thoroughly research and analyze your target. Discover his deepest desires, then use this information to force him to fulfill just one of them. But for some reason, if something happens during your mission and your target dies, your mission will automatically be completed, and you will be able to go back to hell.
