A break first!

"so, what you are telling me right now is that your father is the demon lord who will destroy all things good" Williams face was filled with disbelief

"Yes Williams! he came to me in a dream and told me about destroying everything..... he also mentioned Dracula, the great wizard and a prince name I've forgotten!" I paced through the room telling him this

"your father is a demon lord, then that means you are not hundred percent human" valnor said still thinking

"look everyone, I'm heavily confused okay, everything is happening so fast, I haven't discovered where all those people who missing location, lot of different mysteries is coming up everyday..... I'm just tired" I fell on the bed with saddness covering my eyes

"we haven't finished investigating this house also!" Williams sounded tired as well

"then take a break" Arnold spoke up with a smile

"there's no break for us at all, I'm supposed to be apologizing for dragging you two into this mess" I told valnor and he was shocked upon hearing what I said

"Lee, you didn't drag me into any mess, I choosed to be in this mess with you and you will need my help a lot" immediately valnor finished speaking, I got up and stress, pain filled up my eyes

"looks like maybe we will have to go for a break" Williams said wiping his eyes after seeing my condition

"of course sure, just take a look at Lee, she's already tired..... Taking a break wouldn't make things piled up rather it will make our mind more relaxed and ready for another case to be solved" valnor breathed deeply and then declared a day off

"what of Vernon..." I asked but they assured me he would be more happy if we decides to go for a break and come back fresh

"okay, if you all say so then a break It is" I clasped my hands together and smiled

"so where are we going to have this break?" Williams said with hands akimbo

"let's just say I know a place so relaxing and beautiful, our mind would actually enjoy it even if it's just a day" valnor looked towards me and gave me a beautiful smile, I couldn't help but smile back.

I noticed Williams face, he was jealous and angry at the same time.

"okay, let's get ready and get this over with" he stormed out of the room leaving me speechless

However, after we told Vernon about our plan he was quite happy to hear and added a day more

But throughout when we spoke with Vernon, his scary butler eyes were on me like devouring my soul

I told Williams about the butler and he advised me not to keep it in mind for now

I wore a comfortable cloth which can allow me give a kick. Valnor and Williams dressed as usual, nothing special

"so car or carriage?" I asked the men and they seem to give me a different answer if it wasn't for Arnold intervention, it would have led to a fight

Williams suggested a car but valnor declined saying it would pollinate the air with gas fume, so a carriage would be better

After hours of quarrelling, Arnold made the decision and it was a carriage

"that's why I like you Arnold" valnor smiled and walked passed his butler who made a facepalm

Another quarrells started again with who I will sit with, the carriage had four seats. But we were only three and I had to sit close to one

"Lee come sit with me I'm more special than him" Williams again said

"please who told you special is the same as luck, Lee prefer me to you in a thousand times" valnor opposed

I was so furious, I decided to sit with the butler outside.

"you two are men for crying out loud! not women or girls and yet you quarrel none stop" slamming the door, I sat close to Arnold who loved my decision

Of course I haven't known him well, neither do he talk often so maybe this would be the best time to know him more. He actually was fun to be with, told me alot of stories and also legends

I was busy enjoying my time with Arnold while the other two were busy still quarrelling

Finally, we got to the destination and it was really beautiful. The grasses were green and the trees bloomed with various colours

I wanted to ask valnor how he knew about this place but as usual, he was quarrelling with williams again with the most stupid reason ever.

This time it was who was more stunning....

I couldn't understand why they kept asking me who, but I just didn't answer rather I sat down on colourful and let my legs touch the green fresh grasses

Again another memory flashed but I couldn't picture it.

The break was actually fun for me and Arnold. He showed me how to do multiple stuffs, while those two were busy quarrelling.

This time, Arnold and me were busy in the woods looking for berries that actually heal wounds. I passed a tree which was quite old, unknowingly to me the heavy branch was ready to fall and I was right under it

The branch broke and was heading for my head. I on the other hand was busy examining a mushroom which was quite beautiful

Before I knew it, like the speed of light, Arnold scooped me up from the spot and dashed away. The branch landed without hitting my head

A good save

"thanks Arnold" I hugged him before he could give his signature bow

"oh!" he wasn't expecting a hug and from what I realize this was his first hug

He gently hugged me back and suggested about leaving.

I agreed but soon began wondering how did he run so fast to save me?...

But that will be for later. After all, this world is filled with different things and creatures and with what is happening I'm one of those creatures or even something more than just a creature, since my father is or should I say may be a demon lord, then maybe my mother might be a human or another kind of entity

I was just at the beginning of finding out
