Chapter 25

Rowen woke up in her mates’ hands still very tired, she really slept badly, worry had kept her awake most of the night, worry for her mate worry for her family and friends but its not something she wants to disturb her mate about, he already has his hands full.

“Rowen”

“Sir” she replied automatically before she could catch herself.

Cean turned her to face him, he noticed her eyes were swollen. “What is the problem baby, your eyes are swollen, you did not sleep well?”. He was worried that his mate was keeping things from him.

“Nothing much”. She saw worry written all over his face but she could not believe that this same person tortured her just days ago. “Am just worried about what is going on, how could the humans get that kind of strong weapons against us? How is that possible?

“Do you want me to stop telling you things baby? nothing is allowed to worry you, have you forgotten who your mate is? Nothing, I mean nothing is allowed to worry you”
