Escape To The Cavern

Wei Feng picked up the key, examining it closely. It had a cat head at the very edge, unlike the other key. He wondered what it could be for.

As he turned to leave the room, Wei Feng noticed something unusual about the door. There was no visible handle or lock on the outside, but there was a small hole.

Wei Feng wondered if the key he found would fit the hole. He cautiously approached the door and inserted the key's head. With a satisfying click, the lock turned, and the door slowly creaked open.

Wei Feng stepped into the next room, which was much larger than the previous one.

The walls were adorned with ancient tapestries depicting divine creatures and battles.

The room was dimly lit by torches and candles, casting eerie shadows on the walls. In the center of the room was a large stone pedestal with a glowing crystal on top of it.

Wei Feng approached the pedestal, wondering what the crystal could be for. As he got closer, he noticed something strange about the crystal.

It was pulsating with an otherworldly energy, and Wei Feng could feel a strange pull towards it. He hesitated for a moment before reaching out to touch it.

As soon as his fingers made contact with the crystal, Wei Feng felt a surge of power rush through his body. It was like nothing he had ever experienced before.

Suddenly, the room began to shake, and Wei Feng felt a deep rumbling beneath his feet. He looked around in alarm, trying to figure out what was happening.

As he looked up, he saw cracks starting to form on the ceiling. Dust and debris began to rain down on him, and he knew that he needed to get out of there quickly.

Wei Feng ran towards the door, but it wouldn't budge. He tried to force it open, but it seemed to be stuck.

Wei Feng took a deep breath and looked around the room, searching for another way out. He noticed a small lever in one of the walls that he hadn't seen before. He pulled it and out of the blue, there was something barely visible in the dim light, but Wei Feng could just make out a faint outline of a door.

Wei Feng rushed towards it and pushed through the door. It opened with a creak, revealing a small tunnel that led downwards.

Without hesitating, Wei Feng climbed down the tunnel, the sound of collapsing rocks echoing behind him.

As he emerged from the tunnel, Wei Feng found himself in a large cavern.

The cavern was filled with stalactites and stalagmites, and the air was thick with the smell of damp earth. In the distance, Wei Feng could hear the sound of rushing water. He realized that he had stumbled upon an underground river.

Just then, Wei Feng noticed a faint glimmer of light in the distance and decided to investigate.

As Wei Feng approached the source of light, he saw that it was coming from a small campfire. Sitting by the fire was a lone figure, wrapped in a heavy cloak and staring into the flames.

Curiosity grew, Wei Feng cautiously approached the figure. As he drew closer, he noticed the person's weary expression and the weight of countless experiences etched onto their face.

Sensing Wei Feng's presence, the figure turned to look at him, revealing eyes that held a combination of wisdom and sorrow.

"Greetings,"

the figure said, in a gentle but rough timbre voice.

"You must have journeyed far to reach this place."

Wei Feng nodded, his gaze flickering between the person and the surrounding cavern.

"Who are you?"

The figure smiled softly, a glimmer of warmth in their eyes.

"I am known as the Seer of the Depths. This cavern is a sanctuary, a refuge for those who seek solace and answers in the depths of the world."

Intrigued, Wei Feng took a seat by the campfire, the crackling flames providing a sense of comfort in the midst of the underground darkness.

He couldn't help but wonder what knowledge the Seer possessed and how it might help him on his journey.

"What brings you to this place, young one?"

the Seer asked, their voice laced with genuine interest.

But how could Wei Feng tell the seer about how this world was a game?

Wei Feng recalled that he and Jiu Li parted to find about about the schemes of the organization, how he got sucked into the game, "Danny's Circus", how he had been chased by the clowns, how he met Danny who told him how he could escape "Danny's Circus", how he met the creature and made a deal in the process, how the creature led him to the door, how the room led to the man, and how the key on the wooden table led him to another room which collapsed, leading him to where he is now.

Should he trust the seer? His instincts told him that the seer was harmless but what if his instinct's judgment was wrong?

At last, Wei Feng came to a decision. He would trust the seer. Wei Feng proceeded to tell the seer all of the details about his situation and how he ended up here.

The Seer listened intently, their eyes fixated on Wei Feng's face.

When he was done, the Seer seemed to think for a moment, a deep crease forming on their brow.

The Seer sat silently for a moment, then, they turned to Wei Feng, and said,

"You have brought great turmoil upon the world, young one. Your actions have left a mark on certain entities in this world."

Wei Feng was taken aback by the Seer's words.

"How so?"

"You have gave hope to the one that which dwells in the maze filled with mirrors. When the one breaks free from the shackles that are bound to it, the world's balance will be broken and shatter. The world will be turned upside down, and chaos will follow."

"Really?"

The Seer nodded solemnly, "I believe so. Now, I shall tell you a story.

"Long ago, there was a powerful sorcerer who sought to control the world. He delved into forbidden magic and made a pact with a entity, hoping to gain ultimate power.

But the entity had other plans. It saw the sorcerer's greed and ambition and decided to use him for its own purposes.

The sorcerer gradually became a twisted being filled with darkness and malice. The sorcerer became known as the Dark Lord, and he brought destruction and chaos to the world.

But there was one who stood against the Dark Lord. A hero who was pure of heart and strong in spirit. It was a typical story where there was a conflict between the villain and hero, but what made it special? Nothing"

The Seer paused for a moment before continuing,

"But, surprisingly, the entity was never truly punished. It was merely sealed away due to the fact that the entity helped the dark lord gain power. Overtime, the entity's power grew, and grew, to the point that the entity had broke through the limits of the world. And the entity is now the one who had guided you here, now that's the part of the tale that makes it extraordinary."

"…"

Wei Feng was so immersed in this simple tale that he didn't know that the seer had finished talking.

Imagine being the flames and there’s a person boring holes into you. I would be terrified!
