Chapter 4; Su Shou? Is that you?

"Su Shou? Is that you? Is that you?" Su Mao roughly jerked up from her office seat and shoved the seat backward screeching on the floor with the back of her legs, she paced back and forth anxiously, she could recognize who the caller was just from her voice.

She has been looking for her for the past eight months to no avail. Su Shou was her closest sister, friend, and buddy whom they battled through woes together, how could she not recognize her voice after living together for so many years?

"Su Mao... help me... please help me..." On the other end of the phone call, you could hear babies wailing out so loudly, it was enough to unnerve her. Su Mao couldn't understand what was happening at the moment.

"Where are you? Where are you, Su Shou? I will come over to you... Tell me..." Su Mao couldn't contain her overwhelming emotions and uneasiness about what might happen if she was late. Several what-ifs traversed her mind almost driving her crazy.

Her empty hand was clenched tightly as her lips trembled, and her legs could only pace around trying to calm down.

"Further sides of the northern Hanyi S village, there is an abandoned hut that's isolated and covered with tall grasses, You will see it... Just.. just..just along the road and...." The call unexpectedly went off even before she could complete her statement.

"Diii.. diii...di iii...diii..."

" Hello.. hello... Su Shou... Su Shou..." She withdrew her hand back from the ear and glanced at her phone screen display which had turned dark after that call cut.

"Miss... What's the matter?" Her secretary hurriedly stretched her arms out and caught her before she could fall onto the ground.

Su Mao's entire body trembled as her eyes watered, "Tang Ming worriedly queried supporting over to the office seat but Su Mao didn't have time to comprehend everything, only one thing rang in her mind, to drive over to Hanyi S Village.

"That's my sister who has just called... Let's go, take me there..." She nervously mumbled as Tang Ming supported her to the door before strolling back to the drawers, she got her mistress's car keys and handbag before locking all the drawers.

She supported her out of the office locking the door as they went over to the elevator... They took the private elevator down to the underground parking lot, they got into her car and Tang Ming drove them out into the streets, that's when they realized how dark it was already outside.

"Madam... Is it inside the deeper ends of the village or just at the foot of the mountains?" Tang Ming was faster in driving through the highway, they used the outer ring before going down the interconnecting upper highway exiting out of the city center.

Su Mao who was holding her mobile phone in her palm, was trying to reach the mobile number several times to no avail.

"She stated that it was Hanyi S... So I don't know which exact one...." Su Mao nervously mumbled trying to reach the same number but she only got robotic responses.

Tang Ming zoomed the car through the sub-highway into a mini highway. After an hour of racing and passing through the red lights, she finally arrived at the S Village in Hanyi District.

The roads were thin and muddy as it had rained, and going deeper, it was getting rougher, they met two villagers who were moving along the highway with their umbrellas.

"Hello, please excuse me... I want to know where the S Village is, I'm new here and I want to visit my relatives..." Tang King slowed down inquiring. And the villagers were quite polite.

"You just continue moving with this road, you will see another junction ahead, go to the left side... I think you will find the place, but I have to warn you... That side is almost vacated as many people moved to this downside because of that place being marked unfit for human inhibition... " The villagers even warned them.

" Thank you... " Tang Ming navigated through the thin streets until she finally came across the abandoned hut that looked dilapidated and could collapse any minute. It stood so lonely in the wild.

"Let's check out on this one...." Tang Ming immediately parked the car at the side, they got out of the car and dashed towards the hut that was in the midst of the tall trees and grasses. It was nicely hidden and covered for a good hideout.

They didn't need to open the door as there was no longer a door closing that hut... It was all open with all the corners raining.
