Chapter 30; We want you....

"All right, I will be here waiting.." he released her before she sauntered away out of the hall with Su Yuan.

They had gotten to the hallway when the entire hallway turned dark as the power went off or rather got disconnected.

The entire place was dark and Su Yuan's body had weakened in that he didn't have any strength or energy to protect her.

Su Mao's green eyes were penetrative and she could see in the darkness, she could see different shadows across the walls, their murderous aura was so intense.

"Su Yuan, block your ears." She cautioned him before getting a knife from his waist, she knew it would be a huge fight. These creatures were easy to create an illusion from their sounds as they were hypnotizing.

They began attacking while shadowing which she found amazing, she could hear sharp screeches that could disturb the earpiece and create illusions.

" We want you... "

" We came in peace... "

" Come with us, we came in peace.. "

Those tiny whispers echoed in her eardrum, she closed her eyes and decided to use other senses and discern the surrounding sounds and trace their auras.

She wielded the knife and fought through, she was never a listener, the guards who got the signal rushed in and a serious battle began.

She tackled two men but they were shadowing and could ambush her from the back, they were untraceable apart from listening to their breathing which her guards wouldn't manage to do.

She wouldn't let her guards be killed so she whispered across Su Yuan to inform them to retreat away as fast as they could.

The shadow attackers weren't many but around four of them and she could handle them, but while instructing Su Yuan, one shadow attacker attacked her and she bent over to avoid it but still got her left upper shoulder slit.

"Sssss...." She inhaled deeply as Su Yuan panicked in fright, he was poisoned and couldn't do anything.

She used her powers of concealment before listening to their breathing pattern, after pinpointing their exact location, she increased her speed and speedily slaughtered them before she returned to the same position she was first and picked Su Yuan before rushing away.

This plan was well staged and thought through seamlessly, the entire building was built with soundproof materials and the crowd gathered in the huge hall couldn't hear any sounds echoing in the hallway, she went down to the parking lot and got inside her car before the chauffeur drove them away.

The other shadow guards had retreated further away and no one would manage to trace them.

"Mistress, who attacked us? I couldn't see any figures, were they ghosts?" Su Yuan inquired worriedly, his face had turned pale, and was sweating all over

Su Mao was trying to regain the energy she had expanded and used to slaughter them faster.

" I don't know but I have a weird notion, that they could be 'Ninjas' That's just my speculation" she spoke out with her labored breath before tying the wound stopping it from bleeding.

These were trained assassins who could massacre an entire clan without leaving a trace behind, and neither see the killers.

"Ninjas?" the chauffeur and Su Yuan blurted out loudly, she knew there were different sorts of people but she never thought ninjas existed they were the only people who could attack you without seeing them, they would easily conceal themselves and also pto in shadowing, they were precise and ruthless, you couldn't trace them even with their breathing, she managed to kill them at ago because she had powers.

A normal human being couldn't tackle them that easily.

"I don't know, it's just a notion but if they exist then we need to beef up our security we will be in danger soon." She cautioned them as the chauffeur sped away, he couldn't believe that a ninja existed but this was the first time he had seen his mistress harmed.

After a thirty-minute drive, they finally arrived at her mansion, the gate would automatically open once the chauffeur pressed on the blue ray lights of the Mercedes.

He drove the car down to the underground parking lot before switching the engine off, "Su Yuan.. you can take a rest." Her voice was hoarse, she removed her heels and stepped into the house on tiptoes.

She was feeling weak because she overexpanded her energy, she had an energy pool that she could use to increase her powers but it was detrimental to her health if she overdrew it, it would take time to regain it back and this caused her vulnerability.

" Mother? " Su Tong hadn't gone to bed yet, he was still in the sitting area and had been waiting for his mother as he had felt some ominous feeling and couldn't seem to close his eyes to sleep.
