The truth hits harder than the ground

There is a splintering pain as I hit the ground below. I can feel and taste blood, but I sit up and look

around, nevertheless. My arm looks broken, twisted at a strange angle, but, wincing, I hold my

breath as my body knits itself back together. The fact is that as long as a coniter has at least one

heart they won't die until all their hearts are destroyed. Great isn't it? Well mostly anyway, other

than the part where you can still feel pain."Boo" a familiar voice says from behind me giggling, I

laugh as my gaze fixates on the broken wall before me. From this angle it hardly looks broken,

instead, it stretches up to the sky just an inch below covering the sun in its former glory. I stand up

and brush myself off, giving a small thumbs up to Jane. She stretches and looks at me

before smirking and running off into the woods. I laugh and run after her, after a few steps I stop

and look back at the wall encasing the city and Jane appears beside me again now staring aswell.

It's surprisingly easy to leave all of it behind, school, everything really. I sigh heavily and grab Jane's

hand to tell her we should start walking, she nods and we walk, well I walk, Jane skips ahead. We

pass trees and wildlife I have never seen before and wonder what it would have been like if the

Surge hadn't happened. The surge happened 30 years ago when coniter first appeared, war broke

out and the economy crumbled, the world became less civilised in some parts and war broke out

amongst different races, it was all hectic; it's funny that that only happened 15 years before I was

born. I sit down and start to relax as Jane grabs two sandwiches from her pocket and passes one to

me. Even though coniter don't necessarily have to eat it's still something I like to do anyways.

"What's the plan?" Jane asks me as I bite into the sandwich.

"We should…probably go to… Dacrita," I say between mouthfuls. Jane nods,

"Our races capital, well I guess so, Lisa though, what should we do about the northern wall?"

"Well," I say, "do what we always do, jump it."

"Seriously"

"Yes, when am I ever not serious?" Jan laughs at my remark and pats me on the back,

"Your right Lisa, you do need some exercise you've been getting chubby" Jane smiles and quickly

runs away from me as if I'm poisonous. I act offended and sprint after her the trees morphing more

and more with my varies in speed. I catch up to her and smirk,

"Game on, " I smile even wider, "you're it."

When they say the fourth demon of Arkienwald, they mean the fourth most powerful, the demons are ranked that way. Thanks for reading everyone!
