Counterstrike Planning

A stroll in the afternoon usually cleared everyone's head, Dean was not an exception. The fresh air from the parking lot really made it worth his while. After being shot in the torso and questioned while still in the hospital bed, Dean felt that fresh air would be good.

'Myra, can you scan that thing?' Dean pointed his hand at one of the F-15SA parked on the parking lot of the academy. Dean really doubted that Myra had ever seen that kind of thing.

'The metal bird? What for?' Myra asked.

'Just scan it, really.'

[F-15SA "Space Eagle MK 1"]

Name: F-15SA "Space Eagle MK I"

Power Level: 700,000

Magical Energy: 200,000/200,000

Skill: [Magical Storage LVL.30]

'What in the actual fuck?'Myra was very confused, but Dean was pretty much expecting that result. The F-15SA was one of the oldest air superiority ships on the EDF armada. It was no surprise if that thing was ridiculously overpowered.

'F-15SA, armed with twin 30 mm burst laser cannons, 100 AIM-69 Multipurpose Missiles, and 80 AIM-420 ALRAAM missiles. The plane flew using the twin Alqubion Engine producing 1,000 kN each at max thrust. It is also equipped with an onboard Magical Signal and Electric pod. What do you say about this?' Dean offered an explanation for the overconfident demonic lord.

'Say what now?' Myra still didn't get it, but she knew the metal bird in front of her was stupidly strong for what it was.

'It can fly above 15,000 km/h with a thrust to weight of ratio above 80 alongside with maneuvering up to 100 G. It also can travel up to 500 LY with the use of Hersney Drive. And yeah, not every human can fly that thing to its limit. Thankfully, the magical energy reactor on that aircraft will absorb the gravitational energy and make the pilot only have a part of that energy,' Dean muttered.

'So, this thing is the one that helped you win the last war against our lesser kind?' Myra asked.

'Pretty much.'

Dean had faced several Menkaids in the past, most of them were using magic to their leverage. Still, the ones that killed them were not magic, but bullets, lots of bullets. Dean knew that every strategy had its counter, even magic. Magic was leverage, not a quick win button.

The demon lord now was in shock, she was not too full of herself now. She now knew what the humans were capable of, and now, she feared humans for their ability to destroy things. Especially knowing that their oldest tool was several times stronger than the strongest demon ever served her.

'W-w-what? I can't believe this. You, humans, are monsters.'

'And you, Menkaids, are even worse,' Dean sounded his distasteful.

'Do you have this much grudge on us?' Myra asked.

'Grudge? You knew what I did to a Menkaid, right?' Dean asked.

'… Your rage was… delicious,' Myra licked her lips.

'Disgusting…' Dean muttered.

'You like killing people, and you know that.'

'I love killing Menkaids, Menkaid like you,' Dean smiled to Myra.

Myra was both terrified and satisfied. Her emotion was rather complex, like between scared and ecstatic at the same time. Dean's smile said it all, he was ravenous for blood, Menkaid's blood. Myra liked the emotion. However, Myra had no doubt that Dean would like to kill her if she got a physical form.

For now, Myra would suppress her desire to get a physical body until she could suppress the emotion of her host to kill her. The fit of rage that almost killed them both was something that Myra always took into consideration. Even talking to him was an achievement at this point.

Dean himself hated demons, the Menkaids sent a cleaning team consisting of demons to kill his family, why wouldn't he get pissed in the first place? Killing Myra was like solving the last loose end for him. Plus, her similar appearance as the leader of the clean-up task force really made Dean mistake Myra for the task force leader.

He now knew that she was a different person, but a grudge was still a grudge and a Menkaid was still a Menkaid. Truthfully, for a woman that liked someone that really wanted her to be dead, Dean considered Myra as a weirdo to some extent, if not an eccentric.

Still, thankfully, Dean could talk with her without uttering any voice whatsoever. It was like mind-to-mind communication, but Myra would look as if she was talking to him using her own voice, but no one but Dean would be able to hear it. However, He had the tendency to move his mouth by reflex without letting any noise out.

'So, what will you do now? Will you stop becoming my protege?' Myra asked as she crossed her hands.

'Not really. The last thing they want is being killed by their own kin, and I'll be glad to provide that,' Dean smiled back at Myra.

'We're indeed a sick psycho, aren't we?' Myra even went to the point of questioning her own sanity. She was still used to be a demonic lord, but killing her own kind? That was just something she couldn't get her hands on yet.

'I'll let you decide that,' Dean replied as he continued walking towards the dormitory.

Dean got two days' holiday after his hospitalization, but he only decided to take it after going to the school for just a day to check the waters. It seemed that nothing had changed, except for the one whom he thought to be the perpetrator.

Some people were surprised, if not shocked, to find that Dean was still alive. However, the voice of the people that were involved in his killing was still lingering in his head. He couldn't let the voice go. It was like a plague. It was better to exterminate them, sooner or later.

Someone who would betray their own ally would dare to betray Earth on a later day, even if it was for personal gain. If another war with Menkaid broke out, people like that would gladly sell information for money or something else. It disgusted him.

Working with Menkaid was one thing, but betrayal and working with Menkaid was a crime for humanity. The Menkaids had killed half of the population, and yet, some people still worked with them. Dean just couldn't get what was on their mind.

[Get Back At Ya!]

You know the voice, you recognized the voice. It's better to act now than act later. Do what you do best, Dean.

[Capture/Kill Mick] [0/1]

Rewards: 5,000 XP | +30 Stat Points

'I am not even so sure myself, Myra. I had enough of black-ops bullshits to know where this is going,' Dean sighed as he put his hands on his pocket.

The voice was clear in that place. It was Mick's voice, there was no doubt about that. How could he get access to the office? That was another question that needed an answer. He must be wearing a balaclava, if not, the camera would easily get him.

The invitation letter to the classroom must have been bogus, more or less. Dean should have known better that the signature was a copy-pasted signature of the principal over a legal letter that was bogus. He couldn't help but to feel bad for himself.

Even though Orion and Andre knew about the letter, they shouldn't be blamed for it. They congratulated Dean for it and they encouraged Dean to attend, just like best friends. The forged letter was so well made.

He thought he would get a scholarship, but all he got was two bullets to his torso. One barely missed his aorta and the other barely missed his heart. He was lucky that he was alive at that point. He needed to be careful from this point.

Still, he couldn't trust himself. Dean wasn't a know-it-all person. He was just an ordinary student studying at the 120th. A thing like this could happen and would happen again, sooner or later. He needed an insurance.

Dean took a bus to the nearest shopping center. In there, he bought a burner phone for him to use. Myra didn't have any idea what his plan was or what he wanted to do with that phone. She only knew that Dean might up to something bad.

'What are you planning to do?' Myra appeared right beside of him again.

'I need to have an insurance, and even though you are a demon lord, I don't trust it.'

'So, who will you call with that thing?' Myra asked.

'Someone.'

'Who's that someone?'

'An arms dealer.'

'What's his name?'

'Peacekeeper.'
