"Father, stop insulting me!" sulked Joon, sleeping with his back to Jaya.
"Joon?"
Silence.
"Joon?" Jaya called back, but his son was still sleeping with his back. Joon's shoulders are also seen pulling down as if holding back emotions. Jaya, who saw that, laughed in satisfaction.
After a few minutes the atmosphere turned awkward. In the end, Jaya gave up and tried to persuade hia son not to be upset with Jaya.
"Hahaha, sorry! I won't tell anyone that Joon still wets the bed." Jaya grabbed Joon's shoulder, so he was facing him.
They sleep opposite each other. Jaya feels that it has been a long time since she has slept with Joon, his adopted son. The last time they slept together was when Joon was 10 years old. Last July he was 15 years old.
"Father?" calls out Joon at last, after a few minutes of sulking silence.
"Ngh...?" said Jaya with a warm smile. Jaya gently stroked his son's hair. For some reason, Jaya loves the son of the woman he loves so much.
"Father is not angry with Joon anymore, right?" asked Joon, awkwardly. Joon still doesn't even dare to look into his father's dark eyes. He really felt guilty.
Jaya frowned. His smile disappeared in an instant. Jaya is now in spooky mode again.
"Who says you're not angry anymore, heh! If you can explain why the girls are at our cafe, maybe I can consider it," Jaya mumbled.
Jaya turned away, staring at the ceiling.
His hands crossed. Jaya felt that his son should be taught a lesson. His brother Kevin has spoiled Joon too much all this time.
Joon got up. He tugged at his father's arm gently, telling him to face Joon.
"Listen to me, Dad! They were the ones who insisted on helping me, Father. And Gilang happened to be at the cafe at the time, so I just took him out. You know that all women are troublesome, so I tried to run away from them," said Joon, as it was. It's true, Joon has nothing to hide.
Jaya tries to believe it. He sat next to Joon. Staring intensely at his son's wistful eyes that made no one else have the heart to scold Joon any longer. In fact, Jaya was like that.
"Then how did you get drowned in the Ancol Sea?" asked Jaya again. He ordered Joon to guard the cafe just so that someone would watch over Joon, but today Joon ended up drowning in the Ancol Sea. I don't know how the boy would have been if he hadn't been watched a little longer.
Joon looks a little taken aback. He didn't expect his father to know about today's events. But he wanted to hide it.
"How did dad know that?
Assh, it must be Gilang who tells the story, right? You bastard Gilang the bucket!" Joon grumbled. He looked out the window. He would teach Gilang the wrestler a lesson later.
Jaya smacked his son's head. Why even blame his friend, try? Jaya thought.
"You bastard! So you intend not to tell dad? You really don't think you're a parent, huh?" snapped Jaya.
"It's not like that, Dad. I don't want you to swear at me again. Every time I run away it's always bad luck, this must be a curse from dad, right? Right?" Joon accused his father. The truth is, often Jaya's words will indeed happen. And it's always a bad thing that happens when Joon tries to disobey his father.
"Hahaha, you think your father is a Rishi whose every word always comes true, huh? You watch too many serials from Bharata Country like your Daddy, Joon!" Jaya grumbled. He lay back down on his soft bed.
"Hnn, let's just forget about what happened earlier! Dad is still taking a day off tomorrow, so you want to go on vacation with dad?" bargained Jaya a few seconds later.
Joon was silent for a moment as if thinking about something. I don't know, he has a bad feeling every time he is invited to go on vacation with his father. Jaya's father was so careless. Last time on vacation, Joon ended up in the hospital because of the cold. He was left by his father in the amusement park alone in the winter. At that time, Joon was 7 years old. Jaya forgets about it and goes home alone.
"Why? You don't like holidays?" Jaya snapped which woke Joon from his daydream.
"It's not like that, Father. I get goosebumps when I hear the word vacation. This isn't a stray vacation to either the god realm or the demon realm, is it?" Joon guessed the origin. His father is strange, so it is not impossible if he will be invited to strange places too later.
"Wahahaha, you really watch too many dramas like Ken, Joon. Okay, tomorrow I will ask your teacher for permission. Oh yeah, you haven't told the chronology of you drowning yet?" Jaya asked again. He felt like something was missing from Joon's story earlier.
"Asshh, he said he was told to forget, now he's told to tell him. What an unstable father!" Jun grumbled.
Ctas!!
Jaya flicked his son's forehead once more. This time it was much tougher.
"Okay, okay! I'll tell you," Joon grumbled while rubbing his forehead. "It's all because of my dangerous good looks, Father. The girls pushed each other just to sit next to me, and I ended up being pushed into the water. Papa Kevin was right. All those girls are really troublesome!" continued Joon. He pursed his lips, annoyed.
Jaya ruffled Joon's hair once again.
"Hahaha you bastard! Here, dad makes your face look ugly," said Jaya, while chomping on his son's handsome face.
"Asshh! Stop it, Father! Later my good looks will fade," said Joon, waving his hand.
Wait! Jaya felt something strange. He touched Joon's forehead with his palm.
"Hey, do you have a fever, Joon?" said Jaya, quietly.
