The beautiful Zen garden that mantled the Fortress' front yard was now strewn with dead bodies of the demon thugs that previously heaved the place. The Bahukatsu ninjas were standing before the dead Zi Lok goons.

They were all staring at the majestic courtyard house, unexpectedly silent. As if to rush an attack would be a trap. The ninja assassins of Belrag were assumed to be present inside the Courtyard house as the Demon Lord planned for defense or an escape route.

Dreygo sauntered along the cobbled paths of the Zen garden and towards the stairs connected to the large sliding Japanese-designed doors of the Courtyard house. The only sounds audible momentarily were his steps, the cold mountain breeze, and the water dripping at the automated miniature waterfall that made the Koi pond alive.
