Angel Hall Assembly

Hall of Manuheim, Heavenly world

***

Shimmering Gold, white marble, and white colored concrete constructed the Angel Halls of Manuheim, the capital country of Heavenly World.

Its four chandeliers of gigantic ball-like diamonds hung majestically along the vast grand hall and were emphasized as they suspended along with large cylindrical columns perfectly lined up towards the Supreme throne.

These chandeliers, glittered when they swayed very delicately as the breeze touches their elegance and precarious design. The grand designs of each tile set constructed the wide flooring of the grand hall with a Red velvet carpet of abstract Aztec designs on its pleats.

The enormous concrete hall sat on a steep rocky hill which made the structure's beauty emanate more in this holy place, emphasizing this kingdom. Bed of flowers strewn across the wide cobblestone pathways from the hall's entrance to downhill towards the white simple structures, almost of uniform design.

Large ornamental plants with mixtures of palm trees were planted on each side of the pathway in pairs to provide symmetry in the exterior gardens. Circular fountains were also scattered on each side with large white statues of angels of different forms constructed at the center. You cannot argue that this setting was a place for angels.

Viriel walked along the cobblestone paths and the bright sky shone upon his armor, which glittered like a disco ball. Heavenly souls of children and various people sometimes greeted him and Viriel exchanged smiles with them as he passed by.

The heavenly souls wore almost uniform white clothing with a stroke of golden strings elegantly strewn along the seams. Their tunics design matched the majestic place. Almost all the souls here carried smiles and contentment, no manifestations of remorse.

He took gentle steps while going up the stairs of the Angel Hall while he glanced over the vast wide land of the continent. Manuheim was combined with white structures and green ornamental plants magnified by the blanket of bright light skies.

'It is always breathtaking to be up here.' Viriel was amused.

As he reached the door, he hesitated. After a moment of pause and deep breathing, he placed his both palms as he exerted effort to open the heavy and tall double wooden doors painted with white and carved abstract heavenly designs emphasized to give amazing first expressions.

The door opened and he was greeted with a brighter scenery and the immense fragrance of processed perfumes extracted from their flowers. Angel guards stood side by side armed with spears and their wings folded at their backs.

The room was crowded, the majority were soldiers and others were country Monarchs. A group of Angels was playing the harp and string instruments as their music provides a comforting mood to the feast.

Six Angel warriors stood nearest the throne of the Heavenly supreme. They were holding goblets of fine wine and conversing with one another, they seemed anxious. They were the first ranks of the angels, strongest amongst all the three ranks.

Their armor was wrapped with Gold, and so were their wings. Their gold-bladed swords were holstered at their sides. And the second rank Angel warriors were equally majestic as the 1st rank but the latter's armor has a combination of silver and Gold. Their wings too. They stood farther from the Throne behind the 1st rank angels.

The Angel warriors on the 3rd ranks had silver dominance in their armor like Viriel's. They stood next to the 2nd rank Angel warriors. Viriel noticed that the Angel warriors on the 3rd ranks seemed to be fewer than expected. They were supposedly twenty-strong.

He was seeing only 9 as he was the tenth. They were all subtly feasting with wine in their hand and exchanging faint guffaws of laughter. They were unsure of the assembly and had waited for the Supreme to speak.

As he gained steps towards the grand hall, it felt different. Pressure loomed on top of his shoulders.

'It must have been urgent.' Viriel thought. 'All the 1st rank angels are here.'

It was unusual that all angel ranks were summoned to the same assembly. It could be a grave urgency or a celebration. They weren't sure. It seemed all the angels on their respective missions were pulled out especially when it concerned the three worlds.

Most of the 3rd rank Angels were assigned to Earth to monitor events, which should be mundane, with no divine or any supernatural interventions.

If there may be, then the 3rd ranks Angel warriors had permitted to interfere. The 2nd rank Angels stayed in Heaven to protect their realm. They were Generals in the Heavenly Army to maintain peace and fend off possible Demon hostility that pose danger to their constituents. But Centuries had passed, and peace was maintained by strictly following their established systems.

The Angel warriors on the 1st ranks were assigned very confidential missions that only the Heavenly Supreme sanctioned. Their movements were unknown and mostly their accomplishments were beyond the public's knowledge. If all of them were summoned to this assembly, then the discussion must concern possible three worlds' chaos.

Arkeus Velar, the Heavenly Supreme, finally lifted his hand to the air at eye length, and everything stopped. The music ceased and the conversations too. The Hall became silent. Viriel could sense the nervous feeling floating in the silent still air.

Arkeus Velar was very intimidating to look at. His white beard reached his chest, and he wore an elegant combination of a robe and golden armor. He had no weapons but only his golden staff with somewhat a reddish gem the size of his fist, grasped by golden material that sat on top of the staff. His face was wrinkled but defined wisdom on his face. His figure and his movement seemed very capable of a fight.

"I am glad that you all came," Arkeus spoke, his voice very audible reverberating to the walls of the hall. "As you can see, we have gathered once again in this Hall to discuss matters that some of you still do not know of. Thank you all for your efforts to maintain the balance of the three worlds. But it is now being disturbed."

"The natural order is tested by unforeseen events. Ten of our Angel warriors in the 3rd ranks were missing. They were currently investigating two Demon Lords transmigrated on the Earth's space together with numerous low-level Demons and of course, Kragus. Unfortunately, the lives of our comrades were taken during their investigation."

Now, the murmurs grew as they heard the name Kragus.

"Kragus, lead this transmigration and we do not know his intentions, for now. But, I could sense that he would like to conquer the Earth world. I am afraid, Kragus let his greed take over his judgment. You all know that we cannot send a significant Angel force to Earth, it will surely disrupt the balance between worlds. Chaos will inevitably be upon us if we do."

Nethaniel, a 1st rank Angel warrior, stepped forward and requested Arkeus, "Let me handle this My Supreme." Nethaniel was the most respected Angel warrior in their era because he was the strongest among them.

Arkeus answered Nethaniel, "We must cool our heads Nethaniel. Let not violence be our first solution to our problems with the Demon world. It will worsen the situation. Kragus wants us to attack. He is trapping us. I know he is prepared for this and he wants an actual Heaven and Demon all-out-war, for Chaos between our worlds. I do not want to leave Heaven unguarded. It could be a diversion." Murmurs grew stronger, and Viriel sensed the country Monarchs were more anxious than before.

"Silence!" Arkeus stomped his staff and a loud echoing sound vibrated the ground. Suddenly, a deafening silence engulfed the atmosphere.

"I will talk to him first before making any actions. I will make arrangements with him. For now, all country Monarchs will strengthen their defenses, and Angels of the 2nd ranks will double their efforts in guarding our realm, especially the portals from Demon world. I do not know how they slipped through our vision."

"Special assignments will be given to the Angels of the 1st ranks." Arkues continued. "The 3rd ranks will continue to monitor Earth. We may not have Kragus' location, but we could sense unnatural activities. If anything will transpire, you will immediately report to me."

"Remember, do not do anything stupid without my blessing. If you do, that would be a 6th-degree violation of our Heavenly Laws." Everyone knew that Death is the sentence for the violation of the 6th degree. The highest of all degrees in their Heavenly laws.

There was a moment of silence. No one dared question or gave suggestions to the Heavenly supreme. Intimidation conquered most of them. They knew that the Heavenly Supreme knows better, and was more knowledgeable when it comes to the Hell God - Kragus Manaroth. Many Angels never knew Kragus Manaroth and his capabilities, they could not sense him.

But Viriel could not keep his emotions to himself anymore and asked their Supreme, "My Supreme!" He stepped forward and bowed, his knee knelt on the floor. "How about we employ a Demon to search for Kragus? Maybe there is one Demon soul willing to betray their God."

Arkeus stomped his staff once more, and that loud sound again seemed to awaken the whole Continent. Viriel knew the answer but it was worth a try to ask for a blessing to transmigrate Dreygo to Earth. But he decided to keep this a secret.

"It is absurd, Viriel! That is a 5th-degree violation of our Laws. Demons are hard to trust and I do not want the idea of taking advantage of Demons to stop our Enemy, much more their Hell God."

"Forgive me My Supreme!"

"I know your frustrations, Viriel. Your comrades had the first taste of Kragus' wrath! But for now, we need to rely on faith, especially for humans. They are also built for resilience and I know that they have the tools in stopping Kragus, all they need to do is to discover it. It is not the right time to intervene."

At that moment, Viriel knew that he will tread carefully when visiting Dreygo on Earth. He already violated the 5th degree, but no one knew it. The question was, how long could he keep it a secret?
