Rudolf wasn't able to complete his words when a sword came flying towards him, landing on the wall, only an inch away from his face

"I told you my aim was bad" Ciaran hissed at Grae and walked towards them "Sorry, brother. Grae was persistent on wanting to see my aim, I almost hit you"

Orchid stared at Ciaran as he came to her rescue. The devilish smirk on his lips and his devious yet enticing grey eyes

"Are you okay, brother?"

"You..." Rudolf's face turned red in anger but he refrained himself "I'm okay, brother. We both know your aim was out ever since we were kids"

"I'm glad you understand"

"Princess Orchid, I guess we'll see each other around" Rudolf left with his guards

"You did that on purpose" Orchid said, turning her eyes to Ciaran

"That's a wild accusation, wife. You think I'll intentionally throw a sword at my brother to stop his from bugging you?" he smiled and Orchid lightly laughed "Go on with your stroll"

* Five Days Later *

The room was dark and only the dim light from the hallway lightened the room up a bit. His eyes opened and turned to the hallway, he could very much hear the light footsteps of a certain someone

A smirk appeared on his lips when she came to a stop in front of his room. Her hand twisted the door knob and despite the room being dark, she walked in

Brenda walked with a look of boredom apparent on her face. The maids followed, closely watching her movements

"I want to walk alone" Brenda demanded, she was tired and uncomfortable around them

"I'm sorry, milady. But we got strict orders from His Highness to keep you safe. The crown prince told us not to leave your side" said one of the maids

"I feel uncomfortable with your presence, I am in the palace, what could happen to me?"

"Milady, but-"

"I could report you to the crown prince for defying my orders" the maid kept her lips shut "You can wait for me here, I won't go far" Brenda said and walked out of the sights of the maids

She could finally breathe with no one with her. She gazed at the walls of the palace, touring herself round the place

She came across a particular room and she had no idea why but she stopped. The door to the room was partly opened and she suddenly wanted to go in

Her hands reached the door knob and she twisted it to the side. The room was dark but she stepped in

"I shouldn't be in here" she muttered

"You knew that from the begining?" his cool voice revibrated in the room and the candles lit up. Brenda blinked her eyes several times at the sudden brightness, her eyes adjusting to the light

Alexander stood right in front of her, his hands shoved in his pocket, his black hair looking tattered and a slight frown on his lips

Brenda shockingly looked around. She had stepped into his room?

"Was it intentional or mere curiosity?" he questioned titling his head to the side

"Forgive me for stepping into your room, Your Highness. It definitely wasn't intentional. As you can see, I'm still trying to adjust to...the palace" she answered, watching Alexander walk closer to her

"You just jump into every room you see. What if I happened to be nude, princess? It'll be a disrespect to Leon, wouldn't it?" Brenda's eyes widened at his question and she bowed

"Once again, I'm sorry for barging in, your highness. Please excuse me" Brenda bowed, and turned around to leave but Alexander banged the door and slammed her against it

"Your-"

"Shh..." he shushed her and stared at the door. Brenda looked at him in confusion as to why he had suddenly slammed the door

"I told you to watch her closely, you let her wander alone in a place she isn't familiar with" she could hear Leon scolding the maids who were in charge of watching her

"I'm sorry, your highness. I'll go look for-"

"There's no need for that, I don't care where it is she went. I don't want her going into the wrong room. What if she had barged into my private chamber. I told you to keep her occupied" he scolded
