It was the last day before clan leaders were set to arrive in Gray Vale, and Cora was back out in the garden alone staring at the Camazotz. There were more of them now. They filled the sky like a black cloud around the palace.
It was frustrating, because Cora knew that the Camazotz were likely the answer to her problem with Ambrosia, but she didn't know how to reach them or what she would even do if she did. She almost wanted to throw a rock up there to see what would happen if an object came close to them.
