INSTANT CELEBRITY
JAESUNG
After three subjects, it's now the time where we can take our lunch. It is now 11:30 in the morning. Jae Yon and I are now heading to the cafeteria to eat our lunch.
We saw the queue and began falling in line on it. "You will be the one who will pay for my meal, don't forget!" I reminded him while smiling.
"Yeah. Don't get too much." He answered sparingly while acting strange. He's seems looking for someone.
I look in the direction he's looking at and I found out that he's looking at the girl he bumped with earlier. "Jeez. That's strange" I said and began getting a lunch meal. After he paid for our meals, I was supposed to go to a corner where there is a table for two when Jae Yon suddenly pulls my arm and forcedly pull me towards the girl's direction.
"Hey! Where are we going?" I asked him while carefully carrying my food.
"Let's sit with them" at this point, I hold his arm and look at him seriously.
"Are you out of your mind? That's embarrassing!"
"Then let's see near them" He insisted and pulls me again. I didn't do anything but sigh deeply.
When we reached the table near them, Jae Yon occupied the sit I am going to take and let me sit on the other one that's not facing the girls. At this point, I won't be able to see them and needs to turn around to be able.
I started eating with a frown look. "She's a total goddess," he said while looking at the girl with a sweet face. I slowly turned around to see her
"She's just beautiful because of the makeup. Too thick like a clown" I replied.
"Stop ruining the mood"
"And stop daydreaming and start eating now you bastard!" I told him in a higher tone of voice and immediately pick up his food.
"Are you not interested in joining the basketball team?" He started the conversation. I continued chewing my food before responding to his question.
"Nothing. I don't have any plans though"
"Why?"
"Because I am not interested in it?"
"What are your interests?" I looked at him with big eyes. I can't believe that he has already forgotten my interests.
"Are you my friend?"
"Why?"
"How come did you forgot all of my interests?" I asked him seriously.
"Jaesung Na, I am confused about those interests of yours. You're good at arts, music, dance, and some sports. However, you're not good at studies." And he began laughing.
"I am planning to join the Photography club. Let's see if I will be able to ace it. If so, I will pursue photography from now on."
"Jaesung," he said in a serious voice the reason I looked at him. He's looking at my eyes. He suddenly removed the chopsticks I am holding and hold my hand thoroughly.
"I know you can do that. I believe in you since then. You're so passionate and talented. I always support you no matter what…" He said and squeeze out my face lightly. He also patted my head as if I did something good.
"What's with that action, huh?" I ruined the mood since I am now getting awkward.
"I am serious. By the way, I am going to head first now since the tryout will begin later on. Don't forget to watch me dude!" he said and stand up.
"Okay" I replied sparingly. He's now about to leave when I call him.
"Jae Yon?" he stops and faced my direction.
"Good luck. You can do it!" I said and look at him. He smiled and winks at me.
"Got your back always!" I added and we did a fist bump. Later on, he left me alone here in the cafeteria.
"Jeez. That's the reason why he just ate a piece of bread. I think he became absurd when he bumps with that girl" I whispered while looking at the plastic of his bread.

BASKETBALL
I just finished my photography class and Jae Yon's audition for the basketball team will start soon. I am leaving now our room and heading to the gym where the audition will take place.
While I am walking to the gym, I noticed that a lot of students are going to them in a hurry. I don't have any idea so I followed them quickly as well.
I reached the gym and it's crowded since most of the students are there. There are various players from different sections who's aspiring to be on a team. I went to the side where Jae Yon is located.
"Pssst!" He looks at me and smiled.
"Good luck bro!" I cheered him and he made a finger heart for me and winked. The audition or try-out will be one by one. Meaning, the coach will ask them to determine who has knowledge about the sports. After it, the game will begin and the coach will pick the most outstanding players and form a group.
The tryout starts and the coach blows the whistle. The first player who undergoes one on one is Jae Yon. He went in front of the coach and he passed the ball to Jae Yon that he suddenly catches.
"Pass it back to me," The coach said and Jae Yon followed what he said. The coach passes it back again to Jae Yon and he passes it back to the coach and vice versa. I think the coach is trying to figure out the strength of every aspirant.
"You do dribble," The coach said to Jae Yon and he passed it back again. Jae Yon does the dribbling and shows some of his skills that make the girls scream. He knows how to get everybody's attention.
"That's great. Now, make a 3-point shoot" I think this is the last stage of the one-on-one try-out. Jae Yon went to a position where they usually shoot the ball is equivalent to 3 points.
He dribbles the ball and looks for the girls first. They went crazy again this time.
"What's with them?" I asked myself while there are girls beside me who are screaming as if they are getting possessed.
I wonder why Jae Yon still not shooting the ball. When I turned back my gaze on him, he's looking at me that made my heart beat aggressively. He winks at me and smiled which made my heart crazy.
"It's 3 points!" Their coach said after Jae Yon shoot the ball on the ring. I am still not recovered from what he did. He's good at interacting with other people using his actions and I think that's the answer to my question earlier.
"You got a spot! Wait for later" The coach greeted Jae Yon and he's happy with the news. He sits beside his co-players and after sitting, he looks at me again and I did a good job sign on him.

The one-on-one tryout took 30 minutes to be finished. A lot of students got evicted since they didn't meet the coach's standards. The game already started and it's about to end in a minute. As of now, the scores are 90 and 89. Jae Yon is on another team whose score is 89. The coach said the players who will win will get into the team.
Jae Yon's opponent team is not that strong but I don't know why they became leading in this game. We can't really guess a book by its cover without knowing the contents.
Jae Yon suddenly grabs the ball and he is now dribbling it right now. The nervousness on our chest is intense.
"Jae Yon needs to do a 3-point shoot to finish the game" I whispered while I am still worrying. Jae Yon badly wants to join the team.
"Go Jae Yon, my friend!!!" I screamed that caught his attention. He looks at me seriously and I gave him a sign to shoot the ball.
"Last 7 seconds left" the girl beside me said while looking at the timer. Jae Yon throws the ball into the ring and it seems like our world stops for a while because of this moment.
The ball gets into the ring and the buzzer rang. "YAHOO!!!" The girls including me scream as witness it. The gym is filled with noise right now.
"Congratulations Red Team, you have a spot now on our school's varsity team. Blue team, you did a great job. Don't worry, you still have chances to get into the team" The coach said and the red team is now celebrating their joy.
The girls went to the team and bring out their cellphones to have a photo with the players. I saw Jae Yon who's having photos with different girls.
"Instant celebrity?" I asked myself and laugh afterward.
I went to their location and Jae Yon hugged me tightly.
"I got into the team!"
"Well, congrats! You deserved it!" I told him and smiled. He left the embrace and put his arm on my shoulder.
"I think we need to celebrate this!" He said and we began walking while other girls still want to have photos with him.
"Hey girls! It's best friend time. You may have photos with him tomorrow!" I told them and we began running which made the girls follows us.
