Chapter 34 : The Beginning Continued
She looked and shouted with exuberant joy again. She acted like a child, despite being around twenty-four at that time.
"Give it back," McCarthy whispered, but Olivia wouldn't listen. Her happiness overshadowed her reality.
Matilda sat there, beaming and laughing simultaneously. She had taken an immediate liking to her, especially because it wasn't Veronica. Then she walked up to them.
"I am sorry to interrupt, but I can see you two are incredibly happy."
"Yes, Ma'am," the lady respectfully said.
"As you can see, she's incredibly beautiful, and I am overjoyed..." McCarthy added, nodding.
"Do you mind if I join you?"
"Yes!" she gladly accepted, while McCarthy was on the verge of declining.
She sat down and also took a cake, playfully smearing it on McCarthy's face, just like the lady had done before.
