¬ HILN

He stood a foot taller than me, dressed in a form-fitting silver suit that nearly hugged his lean frame. A thin green coat was hung over his shoulders, and the tips of the collars and cuts of his sleeves were tainted with gold that equally matched the tiny glittering specks in his eyes.

I didn't have to look closer to finally notice why his eyes had unnerved me the first time I had taken notice of them.

His unblinking wide eyes were serpentine!

He was handsome. Very handsome. But it was in a way I found terribly unnerving, especially with how sharp his eyes were. They were even more piercing than Fashire's. Flecks of gold spotted the green of his irises, but his pupils were thin slanted slits that twitched as they focused on me.

I took a step back and he finally blinked.
