A man in his early thirties sat in one of the many restaurants that existed within what used to be a popular casino and resort. Only recently had electricity been restored to New Reno, and because of this, the flashing neon lights of the slot machines could be seen from where he was sitting.
This man was smoking a cigarette freely as he spoke with the woman seated across from him. The woman herself was quite beautiful considering her age, which was nearing her fiftieth birthday. Which could obviously be seen from the wrinkle son her face, and the greying of her hair.
Perhaps if this was the old world, she would cover these obvious signs of aging with the likes of makeup and hair dye. But the old world was gone, and like most of the resources that were once freely available to the people of Reno, Nevada, Makeup and Hair dye had become increasingly difficult for one to get their hands on.
