Chapter 280: He is Different

The newcomer was clearly of a higher rank than the horse-faced man. He wore a relatively better dark blue martial arts uniform, was strong and muscular, and had a katana at his waist. Seeing the horse-faced man dead, he angrily shouted:

"Useless fool, killed by a mere child. Capture them and present them to Brother Fuke!"

The leader in the dark blue martial arts uniform, with the sword at his waist, saw Gin and Rangiku following H'el. He assumed that these children had come for revenge.

Recently, they had captured many children, and several had escaped. But children daring to return and kill was a first. These kids were defying even the Fuke gang.

"Yes!" the five men responded quickly, moving past the man to spread out.

Two headed towards H'el, cracking their necks with cruel smiles. Two others went towards Gin, and one approached Rangiku. None of them saw this as a big deal.

As for the earlier death of the useless guy, they dismissed it as his stupidity. Normally, how could an adult be killed by a child? The bastard must have been caught off guard and killed before he could react.

Now they weren't being ambushed. Dealing with a few kids should be easy.

Seeing the five men approaching, H'el bent down to pull the short sword from the man's neck. The two men who intended to capture H'el brightened at this, taking big strides forward. One aimed a kick at the bending H'el.

"Ahhh!"

The man who kicked at H'el screamed suddenly. He missed as H'el easily dodged, and the short sword in H'el's hand gleamed with a bloody sheen in the sunlight.

With swift and clean movements, the short sword danced in H'el's fingers like a butterfly, slicing through the man's Achilles tendon. Blood splattered in the air.

The man clutched his foot, screaming in terror and pain, collapsing to the ground crying.

The other man was shocked, hastily withdrawing his foot before it could land the kick.

What just happened? He seemed to see a flash of light in the sunlight, his companion's Achilles tendon cut, screaming in pain.

He instantly broke out in a cold sweat, his back drenched and sticking to his clothes.

H'el deftly spun the short sword, catching it firmly in his hand, his calm face completely unfazed by having just killed a man and severed another's tendon.

The onlookers exchanged glances, finally realizing that this was no ordinary child. He was different from the other children they had easily overpowered.

At least, the technique he used to effortlessly sever their companion's tendon was beyond their abilities.

The leader of this group, watching from behind, was also taken aback. His hand unconsciously gripped the hilt of the sword at his waist.

He sensed that this child exuded the calm, indifferent demeanor of a seasoned swordsman, a supreme willpower he had only seen in those who had survived countless battles.

The four men, realizing this, no longer dared to split up to capture Gin and Rangiku. Instead, they cautiously spread out, drawing their short swords or daggers, and slowly encircled H'el.

Just as they were about to attack, several stones struck their faces, provoking angry curses: "Damn brats!"

Gin and Rangiku, seeing H'el about to be surrounded and attacked, quickly picked up stones from the ground and hurled them at the four men. Unfortunately, lacking H'el's precise throwing skills, they could only cause minor disruptions.

Experiencing the difficulty firsthand, Gin realized just how accurate and terrifying H'el's stone-throwing ability was. He sensed a mysterious power in H'el.

He doubted these four men could harm H'el, but he was eager to help ensure H'el's victory from the sidelines.

"Run!" Rangiku shouted, gasping for breath as she threw stones.

Having only regained a bit of strength from a single persimmon cake and after walking two to three kilometers with H'el, she was already exhausted. Her stone-throwing was imprecise and merely a nuisance.

"No need." H'el replied, shaking his head.

Using the stones thrown by Gin and Rangiku, H'el stepped forward as if gliding into the attack range. As the four men, panicked, swung their weapons wildly, H'el's short sword sliced across the abdomens of two of them.

It wasn't that he didn't want to cut their throats directly; rather, it was a matter of height. Slashing their abdomens was the simplest and most convenient option.

The men's rough cloth garments were slashed open, their bellies cut, revealing blood and flesh, with intestines spilling from the wounds amid a flow of blood that couldn't be stopped.

"No, my guts, my guts!" The two men, horrified, dropped their weapons, clutching their abdomens and desperately trying to shove their intestines back in, their faces growing paler by the second.

The remaining two men instinctively stepped back, their faces filled with fear, their weapons trembling uncontrollably.

They had only blinked for a moment, and two of their comrades had been eviscerated. What kind of swordsmanship was this?

"Stop!" Watanabe, the leader of this group, observed from behind, realizing that this young boy possessed an unpredictable footwork and a simple yet deadly sword technique, far beyond the capability of his goons.

His expression solemn, head held high, Watanabe smirked coldly. "I don't know where you learned your swordsmanship and footwork, but to be able to injure these foolish wastes of space."

He strode forward, exuding the intimidating aura of a swordsman, and slowly drew his katana from its sheath at his waist.

The katana's blade gleamed with beautiful patterns.

"But against my blade, Sakura Falls, and my stronger physique, as well as my profound swordsmanship, you stand no chance."

Watanabe's eyes gleamed sharply as he held Sakura Falls, emanating the aura of a formidable swordsman.

The two unhurt hooligans, upon hearing their leader's resounding words, instinctively stepped aside, clearing a path for Watanabe. They cheered, "Boss Watanabe, show this little bastard what you're made of!"

"Boss Watanabe, cut off his hands and feet to avenge our brothers!"

Gin and Rangiku, seeing the opposing leader wielding a katana and charging toward H'el with an imposing aura, felt their hearts pound and their breath stop.

It was evident that this leader was different from the small-time hooligans.

Suddenly, a silver flash, like a celestial light, shot out from H'el's hand and pierced Watanabe's neck.

The short sword went straight through Watanabe's neck.

Watanabe, with his invincible aura of a swordsman, couldn't stop his forward momentum and fell to the ground, sliding to H'el's feet, lifeless.

H'el bent down, picked up Sakura Falls, and looked at the two hooligans, who were dumbfounded and stunned.
