"He can control time!!!" Xu Shang-Chi let out a scream, "This is unscientific!!!!!!"
"Look around, who here is scientific?!!" Riley also shouted, "Think of something fast, or we're really done for here!!!!"
"Everyone shut up!!!!!"
Charles held his breath with a focused mind, his gaze tightly locked on the black-haired man, as his psychic ability went full throttle, buzzing as two forces of rule collided.
Bang! Charles was sent flying, and the black-haired man stalled for a moment. Jessica screamed, "Wanda!! Pull us out!!!!"
The power of Scarlet manifested, and in an instant, they were seated back in their chairs.
Blood poured from Charles's nose and mouth.
"We can't go any deeper," Charles said with some difficulty, "They're getting stronger and stronger."
"Who did you encounter this time?" Stark asked.
Jessica's expression was extremely grave as she said, "These guys are different this time, they all possess the power of rules. That sumo wrestler-like fatty can fold space and seems to be able to partially alter reality."
"Which faction is he from?"
"Soulstream, the Soulstream Sect is hunting us, they seem to treat us as new personalities, trying to capture and absorb us, and that vampire is also one of them."
"The sumo wrestler is one of their six pillars," Riley said, wiping the corner of his mouth, "I was just trying to test the Armor's strength when I provoked him to come out. He has spatial abilities; I couldn't land a hit on him."
"Did he force you guys out?"
"No, there was someone even stronger," Charles said, taking a deep breath and with a trembling voice, "Someone who can control time, must be one of the X-Alliance."
"Isn't this Alliance a bit too strong?!" Jessica said in disbelief, "That so-called Spirit of Knowledge, a single bolt of lightning nearly turned me into charcoal."
"Let's summarize," Stark pulled out his PDA, wanting to compile the newly discovered personalities into the database.
"First is the sumo wrestler, whose ability is to fold space and alter reality; do we have any data on his strength?"
"He punched me but missed, and just the force of the wind nearly disassembled half my body. I'd say he's about on par with Spider-Man, at least the usual Spider-Man."
Stark wrote it down and asked, "What about the vampire?"
"The vampire isn't afraid of sunlight, can turn into bats, and also cast magic. We don't have many ways to deal with such magical creatures, perhaps we need a Mage."
"What's with this Armor you mentioned?"
"Literally, a suit of medieval Armor that moves," Riley recalled, "It can reflect the attacker's force. We haven't found a limit yet. I hit it with a punch, and it was fine; I was the one sent flying."
Stark's expression grew more serious as he said, "And the time controller?"
"Don't know, we weren't even able to engage with him," Charles said, "I clashed with him head-on using my psychic energy, barely escaped. That guy is terrifyingly tough; I've barely ever seen anyone with such psychic strength."
Faced with the recorded information, everyone fell silent. Then, Stark looked around and said, "Where's Shiller?... Never mind, I will take all the information to the Luminous Alliance's base for the meeting. We'll think of something together, there's got to be a way to deal with them. You guys worked hard, go rest."
A couple of young people helped each other out, hobbling, but they ran into Shiller coming in.
Shiller glanced at Charles and pointed to the door, saying, "The shipment of Cure potions has arrived, one box per person. Charles, give them telekinetic push to help with absorption."
Then he walked into Stark's office, swinging the documents in his hand, "Did you get the notice for the meeting?"
"It was me who sent the notice," Stark replied irritably, "Who was it that just said we should unite to solve the problem and then disappeared without a trace?"
Shiller coughed twice, trying to cover up, "I was just solving the problem in another way. Let's go to the meeting."
Charles and the others didn't stay at the Stark Building, instead, they returned to Riley's own base, still in the basement in Bronx, but now it had been transformed into an underground fortress.
Speedball Robert, who had almost recovered, along with other New Warriors teammates, merged with Riley's team. They were now active in the new base in Bronx and fighting crime throughout the Bronx and half of Queens District.
"Is this the new guy?" Robert eyed Charles, who was still bleeding from the nose, "How did you get into such a mess?"
"We had some problems; you guys should stay out of this one," Riley sighed, "It's not something we can handle."
```
Fatty Germ Person was a bit disgruntled and said, "We can't just say the mission is too difficult because a newcomer got hurt."
"Let me introduce this gentleman, Charles Xavier," said Jessica, knowing that more words were useless. She gestured towards Charles and added, "A younger Professor Charles from another universe."
With a thud, Germ Person fell off his chair and then, with a sense of righteousness, said, "I believe we indeed need to reassess the risk of this mission."
"What exactly is going on?" Robert asked.
After the matter was explained, several members of the New Warriors Team gathered around to listen, and after hearing the details, Nightingale furrowed her brows and said, "You guys are really bold, knowing you can't win but still insisting on going in. Why not think of installing a camera?"
Everyone was taken aback, then all eyes turned to Charles. Charles was preparing a Healing potion, his hands paused for a moment, and then he said, "But someone still has to go in to place the camera."
"If you had prepared earlier, by now you would have finished placing them."
"I think there is potential in this idea," said Riley, sitting down in front of a neighboring computer. "Since brainwaves are also a type of radio wave, we can completely make use of this principle and find a way to monitor them based on the different brainwave frequencies that correspond to different personalities. I'll go post in the group to ask."
Squirrel Girl called them over for sandwiches, and everyone, each with a plate in hand, stood or sat around the computer watching the Spider-Men heatedly discuss the matter in the group.
Many wanted to go in and see for themselves, but unfortunately, Charles said that David's brainwave bandwidth was limited, and since the Spider-Men had strong mental fortitude, just one Spider-Man along with Charles would basically occupy the full bandwidth. Even if all those entering were Spider-Men, he estimated that no more than three could go in, otherwise the network would likely become congested.
"So, it seems that the bandwidth of this surveillance camera can't be too high," Peter, eating his lunch sandwich and typing on his phone said, "and it must be covert, as well as have protective measures to prevent it from being destroyed by those bizarre personalities."
"What about the receiving equipment here?" someone suggested. "I think the terminal at Stark Building can be used, so Jarvis could receive information in real time and analyze it."
"Do you have the time? I think we can have an online technical discussion, and then I can complete the manufacturing and assembly in the lab," someone proposed.
"But can a physical camera be brought in?"
"Then we'll use a magic construct. I'll go and ask the Mage…"
After about an hour of intense discussion, the Spider-Men came up with a plan, which was a combination of science and magic. They decided to use brainwaves to bring transcoded magical energy into the space. They would then assemble it into a camera on-site and use the same method to transcode it back, turning it into information that could be seen in reality.
Once the basic principle was established, they swiftly began manufacturing. Stark was away at a meeting, so Peter took the authorization for Stark Laboratory and, with the cooperation of JARVIS, quickly produced many magic energy constructs.
After getting these constructs, Peter converted them into human brainwaves to give to JARVIS. With this brainwave reading, JARVIS could load the constructs into his own cognition. Once inside David's Psychic Space, JARVIS would transcode again, accomplishing the goal of bringing the camera inside.
The members of the Luminous Alliance were also discussing this issue. Relying solely on people to gather intelligence was not only inefficient but also dangerous. Modern people should adopt modern methods such as devising a way to place a few cameras inside to address the issue of investigating personalities.
Stark and Strange were verifying the technical feasibility, but their ambitions were much greater than those of the younger superheroes. They planned to build an advanced base in David's psychic universe while the cameras would take the form of invisible nanodrones.
The problem was that no physical entity could be brought into the Psychic Space. It had to be constructed via magical energy, so the working principles and structures still needed to be discussed.
Stark, Strange, and Professor X were engaged in a heated discussion when Dr. Shiller stepped out to take a phone call.
"Oh, is that so? It seems indeed worth investigating. I haven't heard of the name you mentioned, but if you want to visit him, consider seeking Constantine, who is also from England."
After hanging up the phone, Batman sighed and turned to Hal and said, "Dr. Shiller's suggestion is to find Constantine first. I think we'll also need his help to stop the war between Batwoman and the Queen of the Sea."
"I'm very skeptical about that guy making up stories," Hal frowned slightly and said, "Altanna's friend or foe isn't clear, we can't just take his word for it."
"However, there's no doubt that there is a clear abnormality in the universe we are in now. Both you and Clark have felt the sluggishness of your powers, there must be a reason behind this."
Batman was deep in thought. About ten minutes earlier, they had found a temporary base and decided to rest for a bit. It wasn't that their stamina was that poor they needed to rest shortly after coming ashore, but unequivocally, this universe was quite different from their own, and it seemed like all their actions took more effort.
Hal and Clark both showed clear signs of discomfort. Clark said the energy he absorbed from the sun was less than 1% of what it used to be, which would be a big problem for his stamina if this continued. Hal also felt intermittent disruptions in the Emotional Spectrum, signaling that something was amiss with the emotional energy of this universe.
They decided to take a break. Harley Quinn's matter could wait, but while resting, Altanna seemed to want to demonstrate a desire for cooperation by revealing to them just what his awakening entailed.
In truth, Atlanna had indeed been targeting the Atlanteans, but it wasn't so severe a hundred years ago because he wasn't very lucid at the time, spending a long time in a power-depleted slumber.
What woke him was a strange voice incessantly muttering in his ear and a shadow lingering in his dreams, telling him he should seek revenge, to avenge himself upon the descendants of the traitors who had taken his kingdom.
Atlanna couldn't discern who the shadowy figure was, but because of the frequency of these occurrences, he eventually woke up and began his vendetta.
He brought it up now not because he intended to hide anything, but because until he had met the Primary Universe Batman, the frequent visitor in his dreams had no concrete form, and Atlan's impression of him was very vague.
However, since meeting the Primary Universe Batman and observing his actions, demeanor, and behavior, Atlanna thought that the figure in his dreams greatly resembled the Batman in front of him.
