Chapter 2185: Battle of the Twin Cities! (26)_1

Joker! Present! Under interrogation!

"Joker is being interrogated!" the Joker mutters to himself, grinding his teeth in fury. He even begins to suspect that Batman is sitting across from him in the interrogation chair.

Yet, fate is merciless. Seated across from the green-haired figure is an ordinary female police officer, and a quick adjustment of perspective reveals that her cuffs are nothing out of the ordinary either.

Joker knows that these cuffs, colloquially known as the "police officer's face" in the Gotham slums, really aren't restraining anyone as a favor to the police chief.

Bottom line, these things can't restrain anyone, or at least anyone the Joker knows - including Spiderman. The Joker would bet that even a sneeze from that guy could break those handcuffs in half.

To confirm that the Joker inside is truly himself and that he has some unknown plan leading him to stay here, the Joker leans forward to catch what they're saying.

Joker is discussing his crime plan.

In a police station responsible for the safety of a wealthy residential district, he talks to a policewoman, whose face is covered in exhaustion, about his plans to break a toy-like person out of a prison vehicle, create brutal toys, and kill Bruce Wayne.

However, this act is not the most shocking part. The most astonishing thing for the Joker is that he only listened for two minutes and already find himself fighting off sleep.

Joker truly doesn't know how someone could make a crime plan sound so hypnotic. Even if he were to put a tape recorder here and send the recording to the tv station, they wouldn't dare to play it during prime time. Those types of hypnotism always make viewers fall asleep, and that pisses off the TV directors.

The way this Joker talks is in an overly verbose fashion - his logic is fragmented, and his sentences are broken up. He also adds a bunch of chaotic adjectives, and what's more, he keeps repeating himself.

Now, Joker kind of believes what the chief of police said - is this Joker really stoned?

As he was pondering this, the Joker suddenly heard a noise coming from the first floor. He hesitated for a moment, but eventually decided to follow the path down to the ground and move to the other side of the house, looking through the back window.

He saw Batman again, and once again, Batman was out of costume. Listening closely, he realized that Batman wanted to meet the car thief.

The Joker was somewhat relieved - Batman was finally using the identity of Bruce Wayne to handle things. It's a lot better than jumping off rooftops in the middle of the night. Who would dare to disrespect Bruce Wayne in this city?

The police chief did.

He kicked Bruce Wayne out.

When the Joker heard the chief of police politely ask Bruce Wayne to leave the police station, he began to doubt his own ears.

Then, he suddenly remembered that this city is the result of the fusion of two Earths from two universes. It is very possible that this chief of police is from the other city and does not even know who Bruce Wayne is.

Alright, that might be a reasonable explanation. But what shocked the Joker more was that Bruce Wayne actually left.

He left, filled with anger and unwillingness. Batman, Bruce Wayne, turned around and left after being rejected.

The Joker immediately hid because he felt that Batman's next move will be to climb up to the roof. However, after waiting for the exhaust fumes from Bruce's car to disappear completely, he did not see a single sign of Batman's presence.

He stood behind the house, somewhat perplexed. Who am I? Where am I? What should I do?

Then, he heard another commotion from upstairs.

This time, the Joker didn't plan to climb back up. Instead, he chose to climb a short tree in the police station's backyard and squat on the top to see what kind of tricks his doppelganger from this universe would pull.It seemed that this Joker, after explaining his plan, was finally ready to escape.

The Joker had just breathed a sigh of relief when he heard a gunshot. His eyes widened once again.

Who escapes the police station without grabbing a gun first? Who dares to make a move without a gun in hand?!

As he thought about this, a strong figure leaped out of the room and landed heavily on the ground.

Upon closer examination, he saw it was a man in a purple long suit, a green circular pattern tie around his neck, long green hair, and a peculiar pin on his chest.

This person's outfit is different from his. The Joker has always had short hair, wears a short suit and a tie, no pocket squares, no brooches, and the poor guy who just fell is older than him, with a huge M-shaped bald spot on his head.

The police rushed out of the room shortly after. The Joker had already hidden behind the tree before they came out. It turned out his hunch was right because the moment his feet hit the ground, two bullets whizzed past his arm.

The long-haired Joker clumsily rolled into the bushes and clumsily tried to jump over the fence.

He was halfway over, with his legs still on the fence when he was shot. The short-haired Joker, hiding behind the tree, had to create some distractions in front of the house while the police were looking away to help him escape successfully.

After helping him escape, the Joker rushed to the spot where the long-haired Joker had landed. He was not there for anything else but to examine the blood left by the gunshot wound. The Joker came to check the blood.

As soon as he came into contact with the pool of blood, the Joker felt despair because he realized that this guy truly is the Joker.

The Joker's blood has a unique scent of madness, something Batman once told him, and the Joker believed him wholeheartedly. He was special, as special as Batman.

It took the Joker some time to accept the existence of countless universes, countless versions of himself, and countless Batman and Joker pairs. What he found comforting was that in every universe, they were evenly matched mortal enemies.

After sensing something was wrong, the Joker hoped to gain some clues by observing the variations of Batman and Joker pairs in other universes. He thought he would be greeted by a bloody visual feast, but instead, he was met with a gustatory feast of the Sleeping Dragon and the Rising Phoenix.

The war was far from tepid at this moment, with two great chefs still cooking with all their might.

The Joker turned his head and saw Bruce's figure appear on the horizon. It was Bruce, not Batman, because he had never worn the Batman's gear from beginning to end.

Now the Joker was sure. The spider-silk he had seen on the road wasn't a coincidence. This Batman had actually swung over using such delicate spider-silk.

The Joker rushed out, running all the way to the other side of the street, following in Bruce's footsteps. Ahead of him was a long-haired Joker with a bullet in his leg, limping and fleeing in panic.

Perfect, Batman was about to catch the Joker. They were the actors destined to play against each other. Forget about toy men and female police officers, they could all go to hell.

Bruce swung down from the rooftop again as he had done before. After a roll on the ground to stabilize himself, he chased after the fleeing Joker.

Meanwhile, the Joker who was following behind and watching the excitement had already jumped onto the roof of a car, then climbed onto the second-floor balcony of a store. He couldn't wait to see Batman pin down this damned Joker, who had lost his clown face, and give him a good beating.

The long-haired Joker could see the person behind him was quickly closing the gap. Holding his wounded leg, he wanted to dart across the road and escape through the alley opposite.

But as he was preoccupied with watching Bruce's movements over his shoulder, he failed to notice a car coming around the corner at breakneck speed, heading straight towards him.

BANG!!!!!!!

Standing on the second-floor balcony, the Joker watched with wide eyes as another version of himself was flung through the air in a graceful arc, at least three meters away from the impact.

Two men got out of the car, one dressed in a yellow and black uniform, the other in a red and black uniform.

You have to admit, the Joker is pretty robust; he got knocked so hard that it damaged their car, forcing these two oddly dressed men to get out quickly. Following them was an even more strangely dressed man, carrying a shining Stars and Stripes Shield.

"HALT!" shouted Captain America.

"Sorry, Steve, but we can't go back with you. We still have a mission to complete," the guy in the red and black uniform, looking quite smug, yelled back at Captain America as he ran.

But the moment he turned his head back, he tripped over something and face-planted straight into the ground.

Picking himself up and shaking his head, he muttered a few words of nonsense and turned to see what had tripped him.

A head full of green hair, a white face, and a wide mouth grinning in madness.

"AHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

A piercing scream echoed through two blocks. Deathstroke watched in disbelief as his younger cousin, who always clowning around even in an escape, sprinted faster than he had ever run before, disappearing in a cloud of dust at the end of the street.

Deathstroke was just a moment too late, and the shield smashed into the ground at his feet. He ran forward for a few more steps to slow down, then he threw a smoke bomb back at the guy called Captain America.

Captain America did a roll and took cover behind a car beside the road, then, like an arrow, he sprang out of the smoke grenade's range.

But Bruce wasn't so lucky.

From the second-floor balcony, the Joker watched as Bruce, who was chasing the Joker, couldn't stop in time when the smoke bomb fell at his feet and ran straight into the smoke. Bruce tripped over the Joker, who had fallen to the ground.

When he got back up, the Joker had miraculously stood up too. But due to the dense smoke, they couldn't see each other and stood perplexed in place.

From his position on the balcony, the Joker swore vehemently. He had never intended to participate in this culinary showdown, but suddenly, he noticed a figure appear on the roof of the store where he was situated.

"Hey, cousin! This way, I'm over here to meet you!!"

Deadpool was yelling from the rooftop, feeling that leaving his cousin to face danger after bringing him here was not conducive to his character image. So, after circling around, he decided to come back and assist Deathstroke.

Fearing that Deathstroke wouldn't see him, he stood at the edge of the roof and waved his arms furiously. However, either Captain America and Deathstroke's fight was too intense, or he was standing too high, Deathstroke didn't hear his voice and ignored him completely.

Deadpool sighed and dropped his arms. He looked down and saw a balcony that would be an ideal strategic location—it was distant from the smoke and wasn't too high. Once Deathstroke shook off Captain America, a light jump would get him there.

Without much thought, he jumped down.

Only after he jumped did he realize there was someone there. Deadpool turned his head. A head full of green hair, a white face, and a wide mouth grinning in madness.

"AHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
