"I am going to the base on Mercury right now." Batman's tone was never so certain as he said, "I know, you love Arrogant, you adore his ability to reject everything, something you cannot do. Because you never refuse anything, you are Greed."
"Rejection might be difficult for you, but not for Arrogant. You envy him, despise him, yet you still love him. You are each other's complements and you can never be separated. I am his friend and I am also arrogant."
"So, if you meet my requirements, I will put a good word in for you with Arrogant. You know that he is currently angry over your irrational actions. You would want to do that, wouldn't you?"
Batman posed another question as a statement. For the first time, Greed, sitting next to him, felt events slipping out of control. He cursed Arrogant's rash actions a thousand times within his heart, but he still found himself nodding assent involuntarily.
Batman had touched him deep in his heart. He hated Arrogant, yet also loved him, hating his refusals while also valuing them.
Greed can never refuse, will not refuse, and does not want to refuse. Greed is so greedy, like a nightmare for Arrogant, tolerating any sort of rudeness for his greed, a hopeless junkie with no bottom line, no principles.
Sharing a bed with Arrogant? Greed could hardly imagine this scene. They were two distinct opposites. Because of this, they could alternately take charge of the body with the permission of the Superego and the Morbid state.
These two mature and cunning personality traits understood that they could never exist together yet were forever attracted to each other.
Therefore, Greed could not reject Batman's proposal. How could he be as brutal as Arrogant? How could he refuse? He couldn't.
Because he was greedy for Batman's transformation, fascinated by the pleasure that the process of change could provide him. Of course, he had to help, and he had to endure him, to meet his needs as much as possible, thus proving to him that to anyone, Greed is much more loyal than Arrogant.
To show Batman, to unleash his greed, that Greed would be Batman's eternal servant, more loyal than Arrogant, always closer to his heart, causing Batman to feel guilty about wanting to lock up his greed.
Only in this way could Batman truly realize how stupid and laughable his stalled actions were, and that his so-called non-killing principle, is just a result of social taming. He was supposed to be more ambitious, greedier, achieving his goals in a more frenzied and terrifying way.
If he did not do that, he should feel guilty. He should feel guilty for limiting his greed to a small corner of his heart, and even cry for it, just like Greed was doing now.
Greed was close to breaking into tears, he said, "Of course I will show you all this, let you see what I have done, let you see the huge changes that Greed can bring to a person. Your best friend shouldn't be Arrogant, it should be Greed."
"You don't resist me as you did before." Batman concluded: "You realize that it's pointless, you agree it's incorrect, that's why you are saying all this to me."
"I need you to know that it's Greed that is most loyal to you, something that originates from the very root of your personality. It loves you more than Arrogant, it's worthier for you to keep, you should keep it forever."
"You will never understand how sad I am to see you being ridiculed because of your non-killing principle by those fools. If you only had someone like me, you wouldn't have to bear so many responsibilities and insults, so many misunderstandings."
"But those fools outside the paper will never understand, your unwillingness to kill those criminals, that was me telling you, it was me whispering in your ear, 'they should not be killed'."
Shiller was almost up to Batman's ears as he continually whispered, "Killing them is the most terrifying way. If you kill them once, it means you killed me, you killed your own ambition and greed, because you know, they are valuable, more precious and valuable than the whole Wayne Enterprises."
"Those viewers outside the screen will never understand us, will never understand how precious these smart criminals are, they should not be killed, never. They should be the fuel, they should be the most valuable fuel for the fire that you light to disperse the clouds over Gotham."
"Death is an insult to me and to you as well. Death lets these precious treasures slip away easily, falling into the arms of others."
"Trust me, Batman, you must not do this, you should stick to your non-killing principle to the end, so that when beings like me remind you when and how to release your ambitions, you still have room to redeem."
"After you go back, you will have the chance to release those lunatics from Arkham Asylum, using every bit of their genius wisdom to throttle the throat of the sun, allowing this despicable star to shine on your kingdom."
"Instead of bowing in front of their graves crying as those fools expect, crying over their wisdom and inspiration, just to hand it to the earth."
"They should live for you in a much more valuable way."
