"Good Night, Dad." Luxiain bid her father night and kissed Duke Althalos to the cheek. Adeliza––personal maid of Luxiain–– bowed to the Duke before carrying the Unconscious Scarlett inside the room. Then Luxiain followed after hugging his father and closed the door. From the loving smile he showed, the Duke's expression became serious. He then walk away from the room and after coursing thru the hallway, he arrived in front of a door. He pushed it open and saw a figure standing against the window looking up the night sky, where the Heilig Star shines bright.
"Older Brother, about Luxiain's powers.." The Duke sat at the couch in the middle of the room.
The Archmage then turned around and looked at his brother with all seriousness.
"If we proceeded with the ceremony of sealing her power, you know what will happen to that Fey, right? As what I have seen in what happened earlier, Luxiain held the Fey dear to her and she's clearly oblivious that you are planning to seal her powers. Have you not consider her feelings at all?" The Archmage said. The Duke noticed that there's a hint of displease in the Archmage tone. Which he understands, given how he didn't considered Luxiain's own feelings. But he's worried about her daughter.
"But if we let her powers remain she might also get herself in danger.. I just want her to be happy." Duke Althalos expression softened as she recalls her daughter's face. The Archmage sat at the couch facing his younger brother. Then turned his gaze up to the Heilig Star.
"As by the Legends, it said that the Heilig star was used by God Matr Femella to stop the Iniciel Race War. It said that it lit up so bright that many races was stopped in moving and killing each other. When everyone stopped, they heard a sobbing, begging everyone to stop. It was said that it was the voice of God Matr, and when they heard her Godly voice, the wounded was healed, those who are in their deaths bed was given life, the destruction caused by the war was fixed. Thus, the war was ended. Each race got back to their land and peace was brought to Iniciel."
Duke Althalos was confused to the sudden story telling of his Older Brother as was about to asked when the Archmage continued and looked at him this time.
"You surely can still remember what happened back then right? When Luxiain was born." The Archmage said and closed his eyes. Duke Althalos recalled the day her daughter was born.
"Of course.. The day that was just supposed to be happy turned out to something different.." Memories flashed through Duke's mind.
"I can see it, Duchess. Just keep pushing!" The Matron said to the Duchess. The Duchess gritted on the clotch in her mouth and screamed. Pushing out the baby inside her for one last time.
"It's a girl!" The baby was out and and the Matron and ladies quickly handled the newborn.
The Duke was there, looking happy with her wife and the newborn child, but he noticed that his wife was still unease.
"W-why is she not crying? Why is my daughter not crying?" The Duchess said panicking. The Matron have also noticed it and was currently trying to rub her back and pumping up the child's chest.
The Duke started panicking as well, but remained to her wife's side to support her.
The Matron tried everything for the past minutes and the Duchess was crying as she reaches her hand to her newborn child. The Duke started to cry as the Matron handed her the lifeless body of a newborn child.
"Mom..Dad? What happened? Is our little sister alright?" The two entered the room with the Archmage as they noticed the crying voice of the Duchess, the two brothers looked at their father who is holding their new sibling, which they prayed to be a girl.
"My baby... my poor baby..." The Duchess said trying to get up and reaching her child. The Duke walked to the Duchess side, holding her daughter. He looked at her, eyes shut, her skin was still wrikly and wet, in her head can be seen the signature hair of the Dorchen family, golden luxuriant hair. Despite being newborn, she already have this thick hair. The Duchess weakly carried her daughter and cried. The Duke sat beside her and cried aswell. The two brothers stand close to their mother's bed and cried looking at their supposed to be little sister.
"The day was supposed to be joyous occasion, but your daughter was born dead." Said the Archmage and the Duke felt his heartache remembering the memory.
