32: Potion

The surroundings turned back to normal, and Fred stood there giving his usual undead smile.

"I don't feel too good!" replied Wade, his shirt was totally soaked in his own sweat right now because of the stress he went through.

Fred's said, "The information has already been transferred into your brain, do some more meditation after you go back!"

At this moment, Wade discovered a block of new information inside his brain. A phrase appeared on the right side of the text, saying: "Elementary Potion Making"

As Wade was about to reach for the white crystal ball he was stopped by Fred's hand. He looked up towards Fred who said, "Your brain can't digest so much information at such a short interval of time. Give some time to your brain to rest, in about a day or two you can take the second crystal balls knowledge in." Fred advised.

Nodding his head Wade complied, even though with Abby's help he won't have too many problems with storing all this data in one go, but he still had to hide this so it was ok.

Looking at his new disciple Fred was quite happy. Then he gave them their tasks for the day, "Alright! Today your task is to clean the internal organs of the Gnoll and also freeze it in the container as dictated..."

Wade nodded his head and picked up the tools lying in the corner of the lab, and then started is work on the body of the creature.

"Congratulations, Wade!" During their break time, Mike came to him.

"I was just lucky!" Wade smiled and made a gesture for him to sit.

Mike had come here a year earlier than him and was already a Rank 2 Apprentice.

"Once you are a Rank 2 Apprentice, you will be able to use rank 0 spells! Also, the basic nodes and Apprentice runes will only get increasingly difficult. I still have to persevere for at least another year of meditation before I have a chance at advancing."

With Abby, Wade was fully aware of the situation he was in.

On the other side, Sam, who was boring over his experiments, raised his head and gave an amiable smile.

Wade nodded his head in acknowledgement. He knew that this senior would still take some time to get used to him.

Wade was rather efficient and normally finished the task Fred gave him by midday. If there was spare time in the afternoon, he would go listen to the public lessons.

"Goodbye!" After saying goodbye to Mike and Fred, Wade did not go to the Academic Area, but instead went to the Trading Post.

The Trading Post was huge, and was located beside the Mission Area. However, it was rather chaotic; man black-robed apprentice set up stalls, with signboard stating the items and conditions that they wished to sell or trade.

Once in a while, a few apprentices would engage in some fights and we're then arrested by the disciplinary squad and sent to be punished, it was extremely bustling.

"It seems like that only apprentice are around. As for the Sages, they should have another area for their level of trade.!" Wade looked on and only saw black-robed apprentice was present no grey-robed Sage was at site.

Wade scanned through the stalls. Some of them were set up on the floor, similar to the previous world's street vendors, and looked to be a little dirty.

The floor stalls' items belonged to the miscellaneous category; most of them were bows, knives, darts and so on. There were also the fur, livers, and eyes of living organisms, and some still had traces of blood. The rest were some other items that Wade could not identify.

As for potions, every stall with 'Potions' on its signboard had apprentice clamouring over them. The stall owners all had calm expressions and radiated strong energy waves.

According to the estimation of Abby's scan, most of these acolytes were Rank 4 or 5 Apprentices!

"As expected, the rarity of potions is above my imagination, not to mention the even rarer Magic tools, not a single one is on sale!" Wade through in his mind. He had heard of magic tools from Mike and some other in his circle of friends.

According to them, with a magic tool in hand if the user could bring out the tools potential then even if the apprentice is only Rank 2 he can defeat someone on the Rank 4 and 5 level.

So searching for magic tools and acquiring a magic tool became his priority.

Wade looked at the goods on display as he walked towards the centre of the Trading Post. There were a few bricked shops here, and they seemed to have higher standards compared to the surroundings.

The apprentice who occasionally walked in and out radiated strong energy waves. Wade casually walked into a shop selling potions.

"What do you need?" The shop owner was a fatty, and wore a black robe. According to the readings of Abby's scan, he was also a Rank 4 Apprentice.

"I need a set of equipment so that I can practice brewing potions!" Wade said unhurriedly.

"Another one who is dreaming! And it's actually a Rank 1 Apprentice who wants to try brewing potions! Well, whatever it is not my job to poke into other people's business." The fatty said at first but then he went behind the back counter and started to search for the potion equipment set.

After some search he came back and placed a few sets of glass apparatus on the wooden table.

"They are second hand, but they are still usable. I recommend this set; it's from a Rank 4 Apprentice that did not want it anymore!"

The fatty took out an apparatus set which included beakers, a glass rod, a petri dish, test tubes, a set of clippers and other such equipments. It seemed rather complete.

Wade examined the equipment with his hands, but he was truly using Abby to scan them. According to the analysis done by Abby, the quality of this apparatus set was average, but it was enough for him to use.
