Secrets Of The Sullivans, Sebastian And Seraphina

It was morning and Ethan woke up with mixed feelings. The drama with Dorcas and her sister last night was still fresh in his head, he wondered how his father would react if he found out that his son's now ex-girlfriend was his mistress younger sister all along.

"Uhh" he groaned as he Shook his head continuously to stop himself from thinking about it. 

He groaned loudly as he forced himself out of bed, he had plans to have a word with his father about the marriage with Seraphina, it was taking longer than he expected and it was making him feel restless.

Seraphina had to be his, no matter what. 

With deliberate steps, he walked his way to the kitchen. He met his younger sister, Grace, she was busy making coffee. 

"Hey" Grace said when she noticed him. 

"I need a cup of coffee too" Ethan said

Grace nodded and proceeded to make another cup of coffee.

After she was done, she brought the cups of coffee to where Ethan sat and joined him. 

They took a moment of silence to enjoy the coffee. 

"Did you drink last night?" Grace asked

"No." Ethan replied, sharply

"Then why do you look so exhausted, like you spent the whole night out?" Grace asked. 

Ethan sighed. 

"Is it Seraphina?" Grace pressed on, Ethan abruptly gazed at her. A Surprised look was evident on his face. 

"What do you mean?" He asked

Grace took a sip of her coffee. 

"I heard from mom, you plan on getting married to Seraphina." She said,

"Do you actually think she would agree to get married to you after everything you did to her?" Grace asked

"Wh..what are you talking about?" Ethan asked, he feigned ignorance

"Really? Are we going to play pretend? I might have just been in 8th grade but I'm aware of everything that happened" Grace pressed on

She leaned over to Ethan, " Ethan, you raped her, to be fair you shouldn't even be enjoying so much freedom like you are now" Grace said to Ethan whose eyes widened in shock. 

"Can you keep your voice down" Ethan said with a clenched teeth

Grace chuckled darkly. 

"What about you? Huh?" Should we talk about you and Simon?, I'm sure you remember everything just like I do" Ethan began 

"Wha..what are you talking about?" Grace asked, she tried to keep her cool and control herself from panicking. 

"Oh wow! Look who is trying to play pretense now" Ethan continued with a chuckle 

Grace started to breathe out loudly, her hands started to shake, she made to stand up from the seat but Ethan quickly grasped her hand and pulled her back down.

"You killed Simon, Grace. You committed a crime even much worse than mine, so how dare you judge me!" 

"Let go of me!" Grace yelped out as she struggled to free herself from her brother's tight grip, she succeeded and ran off immediately.

In the dark corner of the large kitchen was Gabriela, the maid, with her hands covering her mouth and her eyes widened in complete shock at everything she had just heard from Grace and Ethan. 

Father with a mistress, 

Mother with a lover,

A rapist as a son,

A murderer as a daughter,

A family with so much secret and Gabriela knew all of them.

It was a new day for Sebastian and he felt good about it, with a loud yawn and a few stretches, he walked to the kitchen 

"Oh my God!" He yelped out in shock as he saw Seraphina in the kitchen, unexpectedly

"Oh wow." Seraphina was startled by Sebastian's sudden yelp 

"Did you forget that I slept over? Why do you look so shocked" She asked with a weak chuckle

"No no.. it's..it's not that" Sebastian stuttered, still appalled. 

"I'm just surprised to see you, up so early and..in..in..the kitchen"

Seraphina laughed a little. 

"Well have a seat Sebastian Wolfe, I'm making breakfast" she said with a smile.

Sebastian smiled back and slowly walked over and sat on a stool. He felt good, a different kind of good. 

Moments later, After they had enjoyed the delicious breakfast of bacon Seraphina had made, they sat in Sebastian's backyard, quietly enjoying the morning breeze with coffee. 

Sebastian slowly turned to stare at Seraphina.

He couldn't put a tag on it, but there was something about Seraphina that changed over the very short time he had known her. 

A new kind of aura was revolving around her compared to the other day. 

"Something about you has changed" He said out loud without even realizing it. 

Seraphina sharply turned to him with a slightly confused stare, at Sebastian's sudden comment. 

"What do you mean?" she asked, searching for answers in his eyes.

"Ah, I'm sorry, I didn't know mean to say that out loud" Sebastian quickly explained but the hard stare from Seraphina made him understand that she wasn't satisfied with his explanation. 

"It's just.. you kind of have this positive energy around you now unlike yesterday" Sebastian said softly. 

Seraphina's face carved into a bright smile.

"I feel it too. I feel excited about taking revenge" She stated

Sebastian smiled faintly. 

"Well, I already made a plan for it. Do you want to see it?" 

Seraphina slightly gasped out, surprised

"Yes please" 

He led her into the small library in the house and pulled out a a book from one of the shelves. 

"Here. Take a look" he handed her the book as they both sat down

Seraphina opened the book with a nervous smile on her face which turned into a confused one as her eyes fell on the content of the book. 

"Why is it titled daughter-in-law?" She slowly asked. "Is that..like the theme of revenge?" She quickly added

Sebastian slowly nodded. He knew it was going to be hard for her to accept the context of the plan, but it was just the best way to go about the revenge. 

"Wh..what do you mean?" Seraphina pressed on, as if she had already understood what Sebastian meant but her face still wore a confused expression.

Sebastian sighed out. "This is the only way you get to be safe Seraphina"

"I..I still don't understand what you are trying to say" she stated with an anxious tone

Sebastian slowly learned closer to Seraphina as he was about to say the things that she probably never expected him to say,

"Seraphina, you have to get married to Ethan..."
