Rain

The young boy walked down the corridor, he saw a water station near the nurses station. "Oh boy! he scratched his head. "I forgot to bring my tumbler" he sighed. A nurse who passed by heard him so she offered a plastic cup. He smiled in response. He reached for the faucet and turn it on. While he fill up his glass, he saw a girl sitting on a wheelchair near the door of the hospital chapel. Her silky long black hair was covering her face yet it still shows her rosy white cheeks. She was glancing and darting around. She suddenly caught the young boy staring at her and they're eyes were glued for a minute until the boy stumbled. The cold water that overflowed from his glass made him jump of his feet. He laughed at himself and gazed back at the chapel but the girl was gone. A feeling of longing to see the girl left him. She felt the need of seeing her sister, so she walked back to the hospital lobby to see her mom.

"What took you so long?" she asked with her arms cross. She grabbed the glass of water and drink. "Hey, you are being so grumpy!" Nadia raised her eyebrows. "FYI honey, It wouldn't take long if you did not wished a bottled water." Where have you've been? The nurses said you stepped out from your room."

"I just went to the chapel but I..." she stopped and gave her friend a blank look. Nadia sat by her side and handed her a slice of apple to break the silence.

...I'm bullet proof nothing to loose...fire away. ..fire away....ricochet you take your aim... fire away fire away...you shoot me down, but I'm ok... I'm titanium...

"Hey, sissy, Give me a minute...I'll just answer this. " Nadia stepped outside of the room.

The rain started to pour down. The girl wearing a baby blue hospital gown opened the curtain. She watched the whole town covered with mist. It was going to be the same gloomy day. Nadia went back on her room and she started to share stories from her work. Stories that she has nothing to do with but she tried to show that she's interested. It makes her feel better sometimes. She secretly smiles when looking at her friend. Its hard to find a friend like her. Someone who's willing to give up her time for her instead of partying with her officemates during weekends.

A couple of hours has pass but it was still raining outside and all she can see were the drops of water leaving a mark on the window payne.

How she wished to be like the rain.

No matter how dark & heavy it is, It will just pour down, flow through the streets and dissapear.

She looked at her legs and began to cry. It was a reminder of nightmare that she never ever wished to dream about...

It has been a month after her accident, but memories still lingers in her veins, memories that visits her everytime she closed her eyes.
