Two people can be seen one floating just above the ground and one kneeling on the floor.

"You win. I accept my defeat... Nyx."

"Nyx won again?"

"How many times has it been already?"

"He hasn't lost, and he keeps challenging people."

"Awakens' are no longer accepting challenges from him."

"No wonder, he's even better than the strongest awakened ones.."

Two people one again stood in front of each other.

"Nyx... I'll make you my right hand. You'll rule the world right next to me."

"Nyx join us."

"Together we will rule the world."

"Lead us. Nyx we need you."

"Nyx! What hell are you doing?"

"Huh?" Nyx stopped and looked towards Echo as a treat was still dangling out of his mouth.

"..."

"..."

"Grrr!" the cat came back to its senses too.

'What have I've done?' Nyx looked at his paws in horror.

"Grrrr!" The cat was growling at the duo.

The cat didn't wait anymore and lunged at them once more, but Echo dodged easily.

'Why am I acting like this?! Stop making me do stupid things! This isn't me!' Nyx was still in the middle of his crisis with himself, not noticing he was being carried away by the calm Echo.

- SSSSHH~

- BOOM!

"Grrrrr~" the cat looked around breaking the box that contained him, that was placed by Echo to buy them time to run.

"Huff... Huff..." Echo was huffing and puffing as he still carried the internal crisis that was Nyx as he ran between different streets and alleys.

Finally, he stopped as he leaned against a wall.

"I think we lost him, I think it's safe now."

"Speak for yourself." Nyx finally spoke.

"What do you mean?" Echo asked.

"Think about it, we managed to run away but what would happen if other people found it? It's late right now so there isn't anyone roaming the streets beside us, but that cat can find his next prey easily. It might even enter people's homes."

"Mhmm, I forgot about that." Echo mumbled

"The only thing you can do is run away."

"... people could get hurt." Echo contemplated.

"Then call the police." Nyx retorted

"I forgot my phone..." Echo whispered.

'He's so complicated...' Nyx thought.

"Then unless you defeat it and step up then all we can do is run."

"... Then I'll step up." Echo said after thinking about it for a bit.

Nyx gave a mocking gaze towards Echo.

"You'll die. Did you see its claws and how fast it was? Even the police would have a hard time with it."

"Besides it's not your problem."

"...Then I'll just make it my problem." Echo mumbled with a stern look.

"You can leave if you want but I will do something about that cat."

Nyx stared at Echo before he released a sigh of defeat.

"Fine, since you are so willing I'll help." Nyx gave in.

"I'll give you a portion of my power."

"Thank you." Echo said with a slight smile.

"It's been bothering me for a while but why are you so calm?" Nyx finally asked the thing that was bugging his mind the most.

"???"

"Why would I be nervous?" Echo tilted his head in confusion.

"Never mind. anyway, the effect will only last a short duration so don't waste it." Nyx sighed

Echo nodded with a calm look.

"Kneel." Nyx ordered.

Echo nodded and kneeled in front of Nyx.

Nyx raised his paw and tapped Echos forehead.

Nyx's gaze became serious within the next second.

- BUZZ~

Lighting started dancing around the two of them as Echo became wide-eyed in shock as he felt something gathering inside his body.

- BOOM!

Multiple street lamps exploded.

- KZZZZZTTT!

Lightning started flowing through the area before every building within a certain radius shut off making it seem like a blackout.

"!!!" Echo became shocked.

"This power is different. I can feel it flowing, its electricity..." Echo mumbled as electricity started dancing around him before it started changing from blue to black.

'!?!' Nyx became shocked staring at the black lighting floating around Echo, before taking a deep breath to calm down.

"There's a reason for that, my power is electricity." Nyx said after calming down.

"Oh? That is pretty useful." Echo mumbled.

"Tap~"

"It's here," Nyx said as he looked back and found the cat staring right at them.

"GRR~"

Echo took a deep breath.

'Why is he so confident? I know he was calm throughout all this but he shouldn't be confident due to my power... maybe it has something to do with the electricity turning black?'

The cat didn't wait any longer and leaped into the air once more.

"Move!" Nyx yelled as he noticed echo didn't move an inch.

Echo saw the claw coming towards him but dodged at the very last second.

Crack!

A deep claw mark appeared on the wall behind him showing how strong the cat was.

"What?" Nyx was surprised by Echo.

The cat continued swiping at Echo but Echo continued dodging so easily.

"This kid... his evasion isn't just pure luck..."

'He can track and predict all of its movements. Almost as if his eyes and mind are shifting into overdrive... but it's not possible for a human, the cat is too fast for a human.'

'He's not even using my powers I lent him... he's only using his mind and his physical ability!'

Echo continued dodging trying to find the right time to attack as his mind ran a million thoughts per second.

'I shouldn't use Nyx's power just yet...' Echo continued dodging studying the cat waiting for the right time.

"..."

'NOW!' he yelled in his mind

Echo vanished.

'HE VANISHED!?' Nyx was stunned.

'That's not the power I gave him!'

'He hasn't appeared yet, the monster can't find him!'

'Does he have superpowers? I can't figure out which one though...'

"He reappeared in the sky?!" Nyx became shocked as Echo appeared in the sky.

- PZZZT!

He cocked back his fist in the air as the black lighting flowed through him and danced around his body.

- BOOOOM!!

Once he made contact with the oblivious cat a loud boom was heard and everything was covered by smoke.

- Pss...

"Huff... huff..."

- Thud

Once the smoke cleared, it revealed the cat on the floor unconscious and Echo standing before he fell on his butt with a haggard appearance.

"Huff..."

"The reason for your confidence... was it because of your powers?" Nyx asked as he walked towards Echo.

- Sssssp~

- Sssss...

The sound of smoke interrupted his question as smoke left the cat's body as its figure got smaller and smaller until it went back to normal.

"We need to leave Echo. People will come due to the commotion." Nyx said without giving it a second thought.

"Okay..." Echo responded as he stood up.
