Cloak

In the cold darkness of the night somewhere in the Mist Forest in the northern part of the Arcadia Kingdom a teenager a male to be exact can be seen lying underneath of one of many trees without even a single cloth wearing with bruise and wounds all over his body . Slowly the eyes of the boy moves as he grouns and whimper in pain as he open his eye all he see around him is darkness but slowly he regains his eyesight as he saw where he is seems to be in a forest then looking around the boy is confused this place is unfamiliar to him this is a forest from what he can see.

He was supposed to be in his bed in his apartment sleeping soundly and if someone tell him this is just a prank then this is really a good one. But to bad no one come out to tell him that instead as he slowly try to get up a massive headache suddenly erupt in his brain like a thousand needle is being poke in his brain slowly but at the same time a lot of information and memories are being thrown inside his mind.

After the headache subside he was horrified,scared, and confused because he can't believe it how can this be. Back in college his pastime is reading a lot of novels and fantasy instead of going out and hanging out with other people he stay in his room alone all day and this story is familiar to him this is the kind of common troupe where a person being sent to another world inside a novel or the author is being sent to his own novel to suffer . But in his case he was not the author of this novel he doesn't even know who is the asshole author who created this novel he was not even a fan of this novel he just read it out of boredom and he only manage to read this novel till before the last volume if ever what he see in the memory of the former owner of this is body is right then he is totally fucked up. Not only that he is not main character or at the very least the antagonist or even an extra that is atleast close the the main characters.But to be exact he was put to the body of an unknown person and more than that from what he can see in the memory of this person. He was used to be a lab rat or some sort of experiment specimen of some lunatic wizard and he is not even a fucking real he is a synthetic or syntizied being a bio experiment he was born in the lab . While the boy is having a life and existincial crisis he didn't manage to heard or feel a certain creature is slowly creaping up near him from his back then it leapt to attack him with a Sharp claws ready to tear him apart and vicious looking fangs a canine teeth and before it manage to get near it's prey suddenly a flesh and blood like tendrils shoot out from the body of the boy entangling it wrapping around the body of the monster .

The beast was caught mid air and the tendrils gripping it more tightly and squeezing it breaking it's bone and flesh because of this blood oozed from every holes in the beast body. Because of this the boy was woken up from its dilemma and when it see what is happening around him . He was scared to the bone and before he can react another tendrils shoot out from his body again so fast peircing the creature to it's neck to what seems to be a wolf and then the wolf try to escape from its predicament only to be meet with more stronger grip from the tendrils causing the wolf to cry in pain before life slowly fade away from it's eyes .

After that the tendrils without even further Ado it start to sucked the flesh and blood of the wolf visible to the naked eye within a minute what is left to the wolf is just an grey empty husk like a mummy shell and during that the boy felt rejuvenated and energize when the tendrils sucked the life out of the wolf and his wounds and bruised slowly heal not even leaving a scar after that the tendrils didn't stay long and immediately retract inside the boy . Leaving him scared , and thrilled on what just happen he can't believe it a fucking tendrils from what's seems to be made from flesh and blood and it come out of him unconsciously and even killing a Dire red wolf on from what it's appearance shows . If it really is a Dire red wolf then he really is inside the novel the one called "The Heroes Journey " which the story revole about 9 choosen individual in a world that is very dangerous and deadly he can only sign deeply just thinking about it is already making him tired because in the future this world will descend in total chaos because of the war between the celestial and the demons . And before all of that he first need to analyze his situation and course of action he should take and after pondering a bit he decided that he first need to get as far as away from here because from what he can remember he was in the Mist Forest one of the most forbidden area in this world of Althea and staying means waiting for other monster to make him there meal .

Because he was sure that from the commotion from that crying of the dire red wolf in death will probably attract unwanted guest plus from what he can see in his memory ( yup he already accepted himself to be this owner of the body) he was still being in pursuit by the minions of that lunatic wizard after the former owner killed him sneakily that wizard was at the level of" Grandmaster "only one more step to reach the" Arch master level "the man's minion will stop at nothing to get revenge for their master after all he not only manage to destroy his lab and castle he also manage to stole one cloak those gremlins will probably so mad right now he didn't only just kill there master he also stole something from them and looking at his shadow were the cloak merge with it he couldn't stop himself from grinning because who wouldn't the cloak that he stole is actually to be one of the most enigmatic not to be the strongest of course but still this treasure in the novel is called " The cloak of Nyx" yup it's the fucking cloak of the Goddess of the Night.

From what he can remember in the novel this cloak was actually never been found by anyone in the entire story of course he was not sure after all the finale volume he didn't manage to read it was already out in the market from what he remember but back then he was to busy with his job and according to the lore online about the novel this cloak no one manage to found it or use it and this cloak some say will make the wearer hear voices and raving that will make one's mad . And it was only one time been mentioned by the author maybe just out of boredom or lack of idea on what to write . You probably wondering on how did he know that the one that he stole is the real deal because it was mentioned in the novel that when you use the "Cloak of Nyx " it will mend and merge with you're shadow making it seems to be look like a normal shadow and from what he can see in his shadow it already merge with it completely.

But you can always take it out of your shadow and wear it but it will also make the wearer cold and ruthless when it comes to killing that's the one of the down side of this cloak it will make you kill with no mercy and thats what he is feeling right now during when his tendrils killed wolf he didn't even felt guilt maybe because its a monster and it try to kill him but still just from a minute ago he was still a normal citizen from earth. And also you can use it to traverse the shadow realm and that's what the former owner of this body before he did use it to escape the clutches of that lunatic wizard and killed him he was lucky that the wizard didn't know anything about the real power of the cloak and he even given it to his loyal minions those gremlins are idiots anyway they just use it as rag most of all the most prominent part is that when you use the Cloak of Nyx you will hear unknown voice, ravings , and whispering. And it was said that this raving and voices will make one mad or crazy but it did not affect him or anything and he was totally sure that this is the real cloak of Nyx . Because right now even just by looking at his own shadow he can already hear unknown voice , and ravings that he can't understand but thankfully it didn't affect him but still he was scared a little after all this is a cloak made by the Goddess of Night herself. So he decided that for now he will refrain himself from using it to avoid accidents .

So instead of focusing on his shadow he focused on his surrounding to see if there is a life nearby and after a minute seeing that there is no movement around him he gets up and immediately run he was lucky that the wolf deliver it self for him to be use for nourishment because of that it gave him little energy to run and he just keep running, jumping and evading branches and roots of trees that might cause him to fall and when he hear a growl or anything from the direction he was going he immediately changed course to avoid confrontation.

And after who knows how long he was running he was tired as fucked so when he see a rundown and broken wooden wall he stop running to rest a little as he gasp for air and pants heavily he was sweating buckets from all that running he thought that throughout in his entire life on earth this is the first time that he run like a horse that is on the loose .
