Kriassilis' Advanced Turf - (1)

The bright side of the door got penetrated by Kriassilis, Kendor and me. I noticed standing in a plane field. No, to be more specific, that plain field was nothing more than a meteor.

What's more, there were countless meteors in the surrounding domain but weren't plain. That's when I realized they weren't meteors but islands floating in between a vast colourful space of twinkling stars.

[Unlike master, he filled his turf's background with a stargazing space. In a way, it's depicting light and dark in unison.]

Kriassilis from the side mumbled, 'Look at him, trying to find the meaning for every single little thing!'

I jolted, "Excuse me. Did you just let me hear your thoughts?!"

He chuckled, "Oops, my bad. I forgot to hide them!!"

Soon, we reached the edge of the plain field. I asked, "Now what? Are we gonna fly?!"

He chuckled again, "I don't think that's necessary!"

---rattle---

Tiny pebbles, rocks and specks of dust fluctuated around the vicinity. I widened my eyes in utter disbelief after seeing those particles forming into a thin bridge. Kriassilis began walking on the bridge. I and Kendor followed him. However, the bridge seemed to have stopped forming in the middle. But the origin of aftermath didn't stop. So we carried on following him.

---crumble---

Suddenly, the part of the bridge which was attached to the island we departed from crumbled to pieces. I and Kendor freaked out. Kriassilis interrupted, "No need looking back!", because the bridge remained in the same spot under levitation.

The particles at the back end were crumbling and merging with the front end of the bridge, thereby paving us a way to move on.

Time passed by and I saw a titanic spherical meteor full of holes with bright light emanating from the inside. The size of the meteor seemed way too big for my eyes to gauge.

Anyway, we continued walking, soon entered the meteor through a hole that was the size of a city.

---gasp---

I peeked at the insides of the meteor to only find myself stuck in a shocker. Because the scenery got overloaded with floating buildings, spaceships, hovering vehicles and cities adjusted one above and below another like a broken building. The overall infrastructure was too grand and advanced.

[How could this be? No way in hell.

The technology and design are overly advanced. I thought the afterlife would be divided into hell and heaven. Not to mention, the cloudy skies. But what I'm seeing is pure luxury.]

Kriassilis corrected me, "You're exaggerating a little too much, Dray.

This is my personal space. So it's obvious to be different from what had been deluded by yourself!!"

"Oh, my bad for coming to random conclusions!", I responded. He slowed his walking pace.

"Roar!!!", a sudden scream caught me by surprise. Kendor hopped onto my shoulder. From behind, a skeletal dragon with four wings and two heads came flying. On its back was a two-story compartment which was fancy-looking like that of a yacht. Inside that compartment were skeletons sitting and roaming around.

[Sigh, no matter how many years I had lived, l never succeeded in comprehending necromancy down to a page.]

Kriassilis attempted, "You're wondering how that boneful creature is flying with those skinless flappy wings, right?!"

I replied, "Not only that but the whole concept. I mean, how could a skeletal being with neither a heart nor a mind, live so independently?!"

He questioned, "That's quite simple. You don't need to work so hard to understand death. Like take a living being and an infinito for instance. If I were to bring the two of them to a bright place, what would be the result?!"

I answered, "The living being would stay normal whereas the infinito starts feeling sleepy due to the light darkening their vision into that of a night!"

He exclaimed, "Exactly, when we try to perceive something, it all comes down to either our vision or other senses. Presently, both your eyes and senses are screaming with the presence of an infinito!"

He then stopped walking and placed his left hand on the right side of my head. I became puzzled. He commanded, "Now close your right eye!"

I followed his words. His palm rubbed downwards until it reached the right side of my waist.

"Open it!", he said and I opened my right eye only to end up falling in a deep shock. The skeletal dragon which was full of bones had muscles and scales.

---flap---flap---flap---flap---

The sound of its wings flapping up and down entered my ears so vividly. The people inside the compartment seemed lively. There were different races like humans, demons, elves, beasts and several other creatures. Their laughs, screams, speech and whatnot.

Moreover, I noticed both living beings and infinitos behaving friendly with one another. Kendor attempted, "Master, your right eye!"

I asked, "Huh, what about my right eye?!"

She exclaimed, "It became white, like that of a living being?!"

Hearing her made me realise.

[... Haha, so… this is what death is about? Unifying two opposing natures in perfect harmony… and discovering a new way to perceive life… then calling it... THE AFTERLIFE.]

Kriassilis chuckled again and again, "Not bad, you figured it out. Let's not stop!!"

---flap---flap---flap---flap---flap---flap---___and so on---

The two-headed dragon neared us and kept flapping its wings in the same spot.

---click---

A door popped out of the above compartment, thus paving an entry. Kriassilis asked, "Shall we get in?!"

I looked upwards, "... No, I want to hop above!", and leaped above the carrier. Kriassilis hopped in while scoffing.

---flap---

The dragon implied a hard flap and flew forward. I sat on the front edge of the top. The sound of wind alongside the cold breeze felt mesmerizing. As we kept flying inwards, the view continued becoming more and more luxurious.

My mouth stayed open the entire time. It was the same with Kendor. As we stared, we saw wyverns, azure dragons, giant flying foxes, hoviyons, viviyons, dinosaurs and many weird creatures acting as a medium of transport on ground, in air. It was just that every creature had bodily equipment or technical compartment on top of them.

---roar---screech---kieek---rhaa---awoo---screech---roar---roaf---kieek---

Whenever a creature hovered near or past another creature, it exuded screams. Kendor said, "These creatures are being so noisy!!"

I corrected her, "Nah, they aren't screaming for fun, my li'l celestial. They're signalling one another when coming across each other or being overtaken. It's identical to sound horns from my homeland!!"

She jolted, "Wait, not only are you able to understand the screams of a celestial but you're also able to get these ordinary creatures?!"

[Heh, these creatures are ordinary for you? Guess, I reached the peak form of my lifestyle.]

---tap---

I tap her head with my index. Immediately, her right eye changed to the form of a living being just like mine. Weird noises began entering her ears. She too started to understand the screams of the surrounding flying creatures.

__________

"Yo Kolaris, on your right!!"

"Okay!!"

__________

"Trimid, above you!!"

"Fine!!"

__________

"Gustove, behind you!!!"

"Heard you!!"

__________

"Hey Darky, look in front of you!!"

"Okay, temporary stop!!"

__________

The dragon on which we were flying let out a roar, "Hey pokers, move aside. I'm escorting our Death Sovereign!!"

At once, all screaming creatures turned silent and paved their way. And so, we overtook them all.

They continued moving after we left off. I mumbled, "So, not only the celestials but even the people of this turf address the lord of afterlife by the term 'Death Sovereign', eh? Why is that?!"

Kendor spoke, "Because he received the alias 'Origin of Aftermath' after fighting countless battles against the other two origin entities. Until then, he went on by the phrase, 'Death Sovereign Kriassilis'!"

"Then how did he earn his origin alias?!", I asked. She answered, "During the early phases, Death Sovereign never won against the origin of dark and origin of light. However, as he kept losing, he escaped every time and returned stronger than before.

Though his power never matched the level of the other two, it became hard to comprehend and understand.

Finally, there came a day when he challenged the origin of light and shockingly won against her. After her, he went against your master to only suffer utter defeat.

Even so, your master didn't kill Death Sovereign. Instead, he appreciated him. That was the day your master called him not the 'Origin of Death' but the 'Origin of Aftermath'...!"

I commented, "What a prideful moment? I too experienced such a moment in my previous life. The divine gods who feared me gave up pursuing my trials. After knowing my tale, their followers started fearing me by the title 'Demon God Adrona'. That's what gave me the idea to create a stage by the name 'Demon God'!!"

{Notice: refer to chapter 109 of the first volume}

"Master, look!!!", my mount shouted amid pointing her feather forward. I looked in that direction, "Gasp!!!", to only become speechless.

In front of us was a hovering city full of spear-like skyscrapers. The one in the middle was too tall. After nearing the city, we saw flying creatures hovering around the corners whereas the ones on the ground ran here and there with carriers attached to them. The two-headed dragon didn't stop until it reached the tall building in the centre.

---rattle---

After reaching the top of the building, large metal particles pixelated, henceforth forming a platform which gave the same vibe as a helipad.

---thud---

The dragon made its landing on the platform and came to a sleeping position. I exclaimed, "Looks like we reached our destination!"

Kendor sulked, "I wish we flew a bit longer!!"
