Valente sighed and was about to hug her but she pulled away from him gently. "W-What if I hurt you again? D-Don't hug me."

"I know you're scared, I'll tell you everything. I am sorry...for lying." He opened his arms wanting her to come closer and hug him. Reading her thoughts, he could tell she was scared of herself. He did not want her to be but he understood her. "Suni, Come here."

She shook her head as no and whimpered, "I am scared. I don't want to hurt you."

"It was not you-"

The girl cut him off by saying, "It was me! I n-noticed my hand covered in your blood, and the knife was right beside me, I-I didn't say anything because you were hurt and you were c-crying but I could not stop the thoughts anymore, they are scaring me. So-" She sniffled as tears traveled down her face. "I told you myself."

"Listen to me, okay? Calm down." He caught her hand and squeezed it, looking into her eyes. "Just listen."
