ENTRY #5 OCTOBER 16TH 1791

Yumiko lived during the rule of the Tokugawa Shogunate in Japan. She was the daughter of a highly respected samurai and a housewife. Her mother secretly practised sorcery, specifically necromancy. She would try to communicate with Onryos and Onis, but she was caught during her practices by her husband, who slaughtered her on the spot. Yumiko rushed over to the sounds of her dying mother and saw what her father had done. He told her "These are the consequences of falling in love" What did he mean? Does falling in love mean you'll make cruel decisions? Or was he simply saying that her mother fell in love with necromancy and paid the price for consulting with the dead? Grieving over what he felt he had to do, Yumiko's father committed Seppuku (suicide by disembowelment) right in front of his daughter. Yumiko took up the sword and became a Rurouni. Whenever she was greeted by anyone who showed her kindness, she swiftly murdered them, she did this out of fear of falling in love. Her murders were known and she was wanted, she was eventually captured by the Queen of a mountain tribe. Upon first meeting, the queen showed her kindness, so Yumiko's natural instinct was to kill her but she was easily bested in combat by the queen. They had Yumiko bound in the dungeons, where she constantly screamed out having been unable to kill someone who showed her kindness, she was desperately in love and needed to end it. She constantly screamed at the guards demanding an audience with the Queen, eventually growing sick of it, they asked the queen and she approved of her request. Upon undoing her ties she managed to grab one of the guard's swords and commit Seppuku. As she was dying she said "This is the evil of falling in love" and shrieked so inhumanely loud that the 2 guards with her went permanently deaf. 

A weak story, I know. This was one of the first ones I wrote. At the time I was so confused about love. I was scared of falling in love, but mostly because I was scared I could never fall in love, and I took that to the extreme with Yumiko, I do that with all my characters. And now they all come to haunt me. Claudia and Adrian have returned, the shrieks from outside won't stop, and now Yumiko is sitting on my bed screaming at me. Claudia's jaw hangs even lower than before as she screeches and makes gurgling noises, Adrian stares at me with pure fury in his eyes, and now I can see Magnolia psychotically laughing at me as we make eye contact. Why do they torment me like this? I don't know how to get them to stop, they won't stop coming back. They're not real but here they are.
