Tyr was there, his eyes blazing with anger. He had received the news that Paradise would proceed with the land swap, and that she would handle all responsibility for the possible decision to withdraw the Duncans from the board of investors.

Their company was not doing well. Even though they invested in Paradise, the earnings far exceeded what they put there, so it was worth it.

Gustav had made that threat simply because Morana was pressuring him not to accept the land change, to do something to stop Alanna from continuing with her plans. He just didn't expect the girl to continue. Paradise had declined the Duncans' help in the future. And, of course, all that anger was transferred to Tyr.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Alanna yelled, getting up from her chair. "Get out of here, now!" She reached out and pointed to the door, confirming her words.
