Chapter 22

Faolán leaned back on the pillow after hanging up the phone. He wished he could call Alanna 'love', but he knew she most likely wouldn't like that, since she asked him to give her space.

'Very good. We need to make our mate happy.' Rafe said in the back of Faolán's mind.

'I know. I miss her touch.' Faolán complained in a pout.

'Me too, but it's necessary. She wants some space, and what mate wants, mate gets.'

'At least she's left us a souvenir.' Faolán said, smiling and taking Alanna's panties from under the pillow and sniffing at them. 'She is perfect.'

Faolán had gotten a lot better, after having contact with Alanna. Even though she wasn't there anymore, the fact that she wasn't rejecting him helped a lot, and by leaving a piece of clothing with him, with her scent, Faolán felt connected to her.

A knock on the door made Faolán tuck her panties under himself quickly.
