Meeting the family

I felt strange, stranger than I have ever felt the whole room when dark, no sound, not even the sound of Hailey crying. I was alone was this the afterlife just drifting in the darkness for eternity. I started to move my arms. It felt like swimming or more life floating as I was weightless. I drifted around and around I felt nothing until the thought of Hailey came flooding back how she was laying probably holding my lifeless body.

I finally got my feelings back; I wish I did not as now I was filled with sorrow and longing. I closed my eyes and thought of losing everyone and everything was unbearable. Then in the distance I saw a light it was arched I moved towards it. Closer and closer I got until the arch was a door I stepped inside.

Everything went bright and then I was in a place straight out of a fantasy novel, I was high above the clouds and there were bridges underneath the bride I was on some through the clouds and some above them on each side there were houses and other decorative structures. I went to the railing and peered over and down below was a lake of fire with scattered islands.

This must be heaven, the heaven that the nuns read about at mass.I looked around and listened but it couldn't be where the angels and the sound of delightful music that washed out the screams of the damned.

I walked along the extremely long bridge till I came upon some steps. I walked up the white marble stone steps. On Each side were dying trees and muddy water fountains. I felt a great sense of foreboding as I came to the top of the steps and there were angels alright dead and wingless.

What evil could have happened I thought to myself as I pushed a great door that was slightly ajar. The great hall held up my twenty pillars on each side as I walked further in, I heard a sound of a flute. I followed the sound until I came to another large door that was locked.

I thought about turning back but as soon as I pondered the thought the great door opened. Inside was a throne and in it I could not believe my eyes. In the crystal throne was the goddess Aszu playing a flute looking very weary her hair down to the floor as white as the clouds.

"Come my child" she said, her voice almost as pleasant as Hailey's.

I went towards her purple eyes and looked into them. They were faded but you could just about see that they were fair but kind. I asked her if she could bring me back, she said no but the earth which can, I told her that it was wrong in the nicest way possible as there has not been an earth witch in decades.

Aszu laughed weakly "my boy there hasn't been a new one of us in centuries yet here you are"

I was confused and happy an earth which can bring me back if Hailey can find her. I started to feel happy again "what you mean a new one of us" I said with glaring curiosity.

"you my son Nak" she said trying to smile

My heart fluttered and I became weak "then who's my father, why did you leave me" my joy became anger.

"Your father died bringing you to the orphanage, we had to protect you from her" she said with a tear in her eye. My anger subsided. I had so many questions, but I could sense I was running out of time so quickly I threw my arms around her and hugged as tight as I could.

"I forgive you mother" I whimpered

" dry your eyes my child as long as you're alive we can survive and be reborn" she dried my eyes and looked at me " go to the ancient ruins in valentine" she said with hope in her eyes" the room started to creak " she's hear son run!.

With a heavy heart I left my mother as she faded into the air a black menacing figure appeared on her crystal throne then shot after me. I ran back down the cobble steps the muddy fountains were now overflowing with blood. I got halfway to the bridge when I stopped dead in my tracks. The other half was gone. I took a deep breath and turned there was another woman in front.

"I am Lucifryia. It's nice to meet you Nak me and you are going to do great things" she said smiling through her fangs. Oddly enough besides the fangs and long black hair she kind of looked like my mother she even had her purple eyes except they were dark and full of malice.

"We are going to make the world pure again," she added on her fangs still showing.

I felt braver than I ever did before in my life. I conjured up two light blades and pointed them at the women.

She laughed "is that anyway to treat your aunt".

"You killed my mother," I said unsure if she was dead or hiding.

" I had too she wouldn't see my vision to reclaim are peoples lost power" she paused " but when my I'm reunited with my three sons then i'll make sure the humans will never forget us" she said with malice intent"

I had enough and I lunged at her, but she deflected it with ease with a staff she pulled out of nowhere, at each end was a spike round ball. She swung with grace around me and struck her staff, shattered my light blades and sent me to the edge of the bridge. She came towards me, her staff now gone.

"stupid child I'm a goddess and you're a parentless outcast, did you really think you could kill me. She said as she slammed the heel of her black armour into the ground. It broke off and I was falling. Falling yet once more I am so sick off falling.

Unlike most times this time I was caught I looked up and it was my mother carrying me in her arms out of her back was a pair of great big wings. They were white as her hair as she sat me on the other edge of the bridge looking towards her sister.
