Buoyancy Initiation

Another thing was that whenever one sat for more than 10 minutes the wind whistle would be calling the person's name. Noah has been through too much but even he was a bit annoyed by it. He believed that it was just the Knighthood playing a prank on him.

Nonetheless, after 15 minutes he stood and carried his bag, he was ready to go back but Elya grabbed his leg, tears on his face as he begged him to take him.

"Stand up!" Noah cursed. Elya stood with wobbly legs. "Take your bag!" He ordered again.

The boy took his bag. The bag will feel really heavy the moment one reached his limit. But the rule was they have to carry it on their back before they cross.

[Don't take him. The instructor will come after dark]

Noah didn't listen and he said, "I have conquered it and I can walk to the Other side. But you get to know one thing, for 1 month, I owned you!" 

"Yes, I agree, I'm your sidekick!" Elya cried out. 

Noah sighed as he thought about how he should do it. In the end, he stood and made Elya climb on his shoulder and hugged his head.

"You are sitting on me, next time I will be sitting on you!" Noah reminded him.

"Yes. I agree. God bless you!"

The reason why Noah refused to follow the portable Tower's advice was that he was a Knight and a general code for knights was helping others in need. Not to mention the place is haunted by whistling wind.

More than that, knighthood assessment can come in any form and shape, this might be a test by the instructor watching from far away and seeing how one behaved in some situations of this kind.

Noah looked at the ladder and then ordered Elya not to sway at all. He closed his eyes and achieved balance in his mind before he stepped forward.

The trick was simple, the moment you step you will feel as if you drank intoxicants and due to high ground you will feel as if you are being swung to the sides but it's all in your mind. 

If you follow the swing with great tandem and took control of the intoxication, in reality, you will achieve stability.

It was completely different from the other ladders but one thing was the same. the pull-down was the same, just stronger than the rest.

Noah stepped forward and walked with complete concentration while Elya hugged Noah's head like a koala. What amazed Noah was that the pull that he expected to be stronger now that he has more load didn't increase at all.

He became a bit lighter than normal and he was able to walk faster. It was a magical feeling as it was out of the norm. 

Their instructor was at the top of another hill far away watching all of them. He shook his head and he quickly brought out a small tube whistle that made a strange sound. He then jumped down and ran around the hill to come in Noah and Elya's direction. 

The whistle alerted the headmaster that was addressing a parent that wanted to put their child in his school. The old man jumped up and sprinted out too.

Right at Noah reached the very centre of the 10km ladder, from the back and front rope cut and the two boys plunged down with deafening screams. The other kids jumped in fright as they screamed too.

Noah on the other hand was able to perceive as things began to fly upward while he was going downward. He tried to grab a rope but they all broke but even if they didn't, they were all going down.

He and Elya almost separated but the kid screamed in paranoia and hugged Noah with all his power.

'Damn it!" Noah cursed, "stopped grabbing my eyes, idiot!" But the kid was too shocked to realize that.

A good two slaps woke Elya up and Noah said, "Stop screaming !" The crying boy nodded. Under Noah's guidance, the two spread their legs and flattened their body as they held hands. That reduced the falling momentum but the wind whipped their face and body as they also sway left and right.

"You FEEL it. Haha!" Noah shouted

"FEEL... WHAT!" Elya asked.

"WE ARE FEATHERS!" Noah said. And he began to think that maybe it was part of the plan for them to fall down. As he can feel him adjusting to the wind and their fall was incredibly reduced.

And this balance can be attributed to their ability to balance on the ladders. And being a Rank 10 Master, Noah has a bit of experience with what Knight entails.

From Trainee to Knight Squire one needs to be taught things but a level 10 Squire is considered to be a True Knight. However, to break through to Rank 10 Master, one has to comprehend things by himself and achieve something called Initiation. And that was the ability to use your experience and break your limit on your own.

Without the ability to convert your experience and initiate a breakthrough to another rank, you will forever be stagnated in one place.

Noah knew that a lot of Knights have stagnated not because they do not have the capability to but because they lack the mindset to initiate. 

But the majority of knights do have the ability to Initiate however, the comprehension ability to gather various experiences that will serve as the bedrock foundation of breakthrough was their problem.

Floating Feathers mean exactly what they were doing, they were falling but also trying to float on the wind.

"FLOATING FEATHER. TRY TO THINK OF A FLOATING FEATHER!" Noah shouted and repeatedly shouted until Elya was able to focus a bit.

'Interesting!' Noah beamed with a smile because there was a bit of buoyancy that suddenly enveloped them and they reduced speeding down by 5 factors of their speed and that factor was increasing but very slowly.

Noah closed his eyes and felt the wind, at the same time he thought of his chicken, turkey, ostrich and other birds he domesticated, and then he thought about their feathers.

The buoyancy increased and at that moment some of his muscles reacted immediately and he was shell-shocked.

His Sacred Muscles reacted to what he was doing.
