Highland Hospital

Mel and Amanda spontaneously stood up from their chairs and looked towards the door.

A middle-aged man in a black suit entered the meeting room. Behind him were three men who looked younger who followed him.

OMG! W Group CEO is so old!? Mel shocked.

She didn't know whether to laugh or cry knowing this fact. She could imagine her best friend Anna would faint if she knew Andrew William was a middle-aged man.

A moment later, she realized something.

Huh! Isn't Andrew William only four years older than me? Who is this man...?

Mel's curiosity answered when the man said, "Hello, Ms. Mel Tan and Ms. Amanda? From MT Group, right?"

"Yes." They answered at the same time.

The man smiles at them. "Ms. Mel Tan and Ms. Amanda, My name is Anderson. I am one of the managing directors for this Cloud Island mega project."

Hearing him introduce himself, Mel laughed in her heart. Because she had mistakenly assumed this man was the C.E.O. of W group. Sigh!

"On behalf of Mr. Andrew William, we'd like to apologize because he could not attend this meeting in person. Moments before this meeting, our CEO had to go to the hospital." His face looked very worried.

"Mr. Anderson, is Mr. Andrew William all right?" Amanda replied with concern.

"N-not our CEO, but his grandfather, our founder."

Mel felt her heart tighten. She imagined if it happened to her Grandma, she would also cancel all her appointment and immediately go to the hospital.

"Mr. Anderson, there's no need to apologize. We can understand." Mel said sympathetically.

"Yes, Mr. Anderson. We, from the MT Group, are very concerned about Old William's condition. We hope he is okay." Amanda pauses a moment. "We can reschedule the meeting..." Before Amanda could finish her sentence, Mr. Anderson immediately replied.

"No... the meeting will continue. I will take the lead. There is no need to reschedule because we don't have much time left. And our CEO has ordered us to continue. Hopefully, we can sign a contract and work together." He smiled and politely asked them to sit back. "So... Let's get started."

Meanwhile, At Highland Hospital.

Andrew walked with a long and fast stride into the hospital. His face looks so tense. Raymond, his assistant, followed him closely behind.

Since getting a call from his mother telling him that his grandfather had a sudden heart attack, he immediately left all his work and rushed to the hospital.

On the way to the hospital, he didn't speak at all. His thoughts were on his grandfather. Although Andrew is very aloof, he is very close to his grandfather. When his parents were busy working at the company, his grandfather was always there for him. Until high school, he lived in W Mansion, accompanying his grandfather. He just got out of W Mansion when he was studying abroad. And after returning to this country, he lived independently in his penthouse.

When he heard his grandfather had a heart attack, he was very shocked. As far as he knows, his grandfather is a very healthy man. He is very disciplined in carrying out his healthy lifestyle. It's the first time his grandfather has experienced a cardiac attack.

"First brother." As soon as he entered the lobby, Ryan Lee, his best friend, called him. He is also the owner of Highland Hospital and the best surgeon in the hospital.

He saw Ryan walking towards him; he nods lightly.

"Follow me," Ryan said.

"How's grandpa?" He asks, then followed Ryan to the VIP elevator.

"Don't worry, First Brother. Grandpa Will's critical period is over; he's stable now. Luckily, when he had a heart attack, your mother was with him. She immediately contacted our team, so we can arrive to help Grandpa Will on time."

Andrew's face softened slightly. The anxiety and fear that he had felt earlier have now gone.

They arrived at the top floor, which was exclusively for the VIP patients. It was a quiet floor; few medics stand by on the corner. The atmosphere is very calm but a little eerie. It's still a hospital nonetheless.

After arriving in front of VIP #2501, Ryan knocked softly and gently opened the door. There was no one in the small living room; they headed to the treatment room next door.

Andrew saw small women with short black hair sitting on the side of the bed, massaging Grandfather's hands.

"Mom." He calls her with his deep voice, slightly trembled.

Her mother looked back. "My Son! You come." She immediately stood up and walked towards him; she held his hand. "My son, don't worry, grandpa is fine. He is stable. Earlier, he was awake. But now sleeping again, maybe because of the drug." She took Andrew's hand and led him to sit on the chair beside the bed.

Andrew was speechless. He didn't know what to say.

"Yes, First Brother. Don't worry too much; Grandpa Will is fine. And I'm here so that everything will be fine." Ryan tried to calm him down. He knows his best friend loves and cares for his grandfather, Andrew, shocked by this incident.

"I know." he finally could speak. "Thanks, Third Brother." Andrew gently massaged his grandfather's warm hand.

Moment later. Footsteps were approaching quickly; they looked towards the door. "Aunty, first brother, third brother..." James stood up while taking a deep breath. He was out of breath from running here after hearing Grandpa Will is in the hospital because of a heart attack.

Andrew and Ryan just nodded at him.

"James, thank you for coming. Please come inside..." Andrew's mother said.

"Aunty, how is Grandpa Will?" he was still out of breath.

Ryan walked over to him. Handing him some water, "Drink this first. Relax man! You could be a patient if you run out of breath."

"Thank you, Third Brother." He immediately drank the water and calmed himself down.

Andrew glanced at his mother, who was standing beside him. "Mom, have you told Father?"

His mother nodded. "Your Father on his way. Maybe he will land in 30 minutes."

"Uncle Will is out-of-town?" Ryan asked.

"Yes. Uncle Will would fly home tonight. But because of this incident, he has decided to come back early by earlier flight."

Just then, Andrew's cell phone rang. He saw a call from the office. He looked at his mother; he tries to ask his mother's permission, "Mom, I have to accept this call." He said with a guilty face.

He didn't want to talk about work, but since his team was now in the process of signing a contract about the Cloud Island mega project, he couldn't just ignore it.

Seeing the worried look on her son's face, she smiled at him. "Go! Settle your work. Your grandfather is fine. Besides, Ryan is here." She smiles at Ryan. Andrew also smiles at Ryan and then immediately left the room.

Raymond saw Andrew out from the room. He immediately approached him. "Young Master, I'm sorry...."

Andrew raised his hand, signaling him to stop talking.

Raymond immediately shut his mouth and handed the cellphone to Andrew.

He accepts the phone and walks away to talk to Anderson on the phone.
