Coming for Daisy

You won't understand, Abigail has the answers you seek" it spoke with a swollen face.

"What did you mean by that?" I tried holding it in place.

"My wife!" It spoke with a cold tone.

"Your wife?" I don't understand what he was saying.

"Yes my wife, they killed her." I knew it wanted to cry but it was a stuff toy, so it can't.

"Who are you referring to?" I was trying to pour all my questions out at once.

"People you don't mess around with, people who hold the balance between the living and the dead" he kept looking so serious.

He just got me confused the more.

"Who are they?" I was so keen on getting answers.

"Humans can't mention their name, not even spirits" it spoke more serious than before.

I didn't want to ask further but I had to.

"What does my mom have in all this" I tried wiping the already forming sweat.

"She is the reason behind all this, she knows what to do" it laid down back.

I tried shaking it, but no reply.

It zoned out again. I got answers all right.

How can I mention this to Mom without saying a name?

Does Mom have a hand in all these things?

I thought all mom did was to use my blood to keep herself alive.

Is there more to all this?

Are there more mysteries to unravel?

*****

How do I get out of this mess?

"This is bad!" Mrs Shalom insisted vehemently.

"You are right, she is too young for all this" doctor John supported her.

They are right, I am too young for all this.

Probably if I had been a good child, something would have changed.

"In the mean time, I would ask some security officers to keep an eye on Nancy" doctor John gave a strong affirmation.

"Yes, very true, also double the security around the hospital" Mrs Shalom continued "I know that we can get to the root of all this, but for now I advice we tread carefully"

I looked at them but remembered Mr Frank and how he chose to help me.

I can't leave him that way.

I wanted to run to the bridge and then exchange my life for his.

They kept on talking but I was no longer there.

My mind was everywhere.

"Daisy what do you think about it?" Mrs Shalom brought my mind back to their discussion.

"Oh yes I do" I didn't even know what I was agreeing to.

"Alright it is settled then, she would stay with me" Mrs Shalom gave a happy smile.

"what!!!!" I exclaimed within. "When did I agree to that?"

"Doctor John I'll advice you go home and check up on your wife" Mrs Shalom gave a tap on my head like a form of maternal Care.

I shrugged but had no other choice.

"Dont worry my dear, nothing will happen to you, I promise." This time her voice sounded like Rakas boss.

I just gave a faint smile but deep down I was praying.

God help me!

*****

"If you continue like this I don't how long we can keep this from her" Nurse Nancy spoke trying to confirm whether anyone was coming.

"Yes I know but I just need more time" Mrs Abigail gave a stirn reply. "I have done all they wanted, so why can't they just let me be" she continued.

"It was never about you, it is about that night!" nurse Nancy came closer to her friend.

"It is a price to pay and sadly Daisy is the main dish" she continued.

"No, don't say that!" Mrs Abigail sat up on the bed.

"I am not trying to say anything, it is a fact. You can't fight them, even the living or the dead can't" nurse Nancy looked at the entrance.

Mrs Abigail gave a deep sigh of frustration.

"Remember what happened at your place four years ago" nurse Nancy gave a look of sadness.

"Yes I do, I still hear her cry at night" Mrs Abigail spoke stuttering.

"Are you serious?" Nurse Nancy gave a suprise look.

"Yes I do, I never wished for her to die," she continued.

"Then do the needful! Even daisy isn't safe" Nurse Nancy stood up from the bed to the bed frame.

"I know you love her but things have gone beyond your control" she continued.

Mrs Abigail kept numb, as though she was searching for her next words.

"Time is ticking!!" the master smashed his hand on the table.

He was very angry. "Buduka!" He called for his servant.

"Yes my Lord" Buduka ran with so much fear. "Did you pass my message to Abigail?" He looked so bloodlusted.

"Yes my Lord I did, she got the message." Buduka bowed his head. "Why isn't she here?" He was enraged by everything.

He paced around the courtyard to look at a wooden frame.

"The time is upon us, the time to unite darkness with light, to bring the dead to the living" he held on to the frame tightly.

I got into her car and we were heading to her house, deep down I was happy that someone was ready to help..

I was still worried about whether or not she was the right one.

"Don't worry my dear, you are in safe hands" she made a left turn and kept giving a bright smile.

She got a call.

"Hello, yes I am on my way" she spoke so serious all of sudden. "Wait don't do anything yet till I get there" she continued.

"It is just business"she threw out a bright smile to me.

I gave a faker smile as I held my clothes tighter.

Why didn't I run home?

That would be unsafest place to be right now.

"Buduka! Get me Daisy!" He faced his servant who was still bowing face down.

"Yes my Lord" Buduka left the courtyard and signaled other men who stood at the entrance.

He left the courtyard with six men looking bloodlusted.

All in search of Daisy.
