Path to Glory
-Two weeks later-
"Well look at that, it seems that your body accepted the implants." Dyson said to Jacob, "You shouldn't fell any pain or other negative effects."
"Finally, thank you man, I owe you one." Jacob said. "So, what do you gonna do now?" Dyson asked "Well, I'm going to fight with some people and then I'm going to fuck up those bastards who killed my friend " He replied as a vengeful look appeared on his face. "Alright then, If you need anything you know where to find me." He shook hands with Jacob and left.
Jacob headed to his apartment and on his way called Hiro. "Hey, I'm ready to do it." Jacob said. "It took you a while, lets meet in your apartment." Hiro replied. "Alright, on my way." It took few minutes to get to his apartment, when he got there Hiro and her bodyguard was already there waiting for him. Jacob greeted both of them. He sat down on the couch with facing Hiro.
"Here." She threw two chips on the table in front of him. "One chip is basic combat knowledge so you can fight a little, and other one have informations about your first fight." Jacob took the information chip first and inserted it to his operating system. A loading screen appeared in front of his eyes and finally a lot of information as well. *Name: Roan Mcintosh, Age: 36, Origin: Russia, Hight+Weight: 176cm/96kg, Fight score: 11W-5L, Nature: A complete psychopath, Fighting Cyberware/Implants: Titanium Bones, Endoskeleton, Golira Arms, Blood pump, Weak points: Stamina/Chin, Strong points: Body/Punch power*
After reading all info and watching some videos of him, Jacob pulled out first chip and inserted the other one. When he inserted the second chip the downloading started, after few seconds of downloading, Jacob could felt that things he didn't knew before, he knew perfectly now. It was like a magic for him, then he pulled out the chip and put it on a table. Hiro lit up a cigaret and started smoking "Fight is in two days in Kabuki." Hiro said. "WHAT?! How am I supposed to prepare for it when I have just two days?!" Jacob yelled at her. "You don't need to, because you are gonna lose." Hiro replied with calm voice. Then Jacob remebered that the fights are gonna be fixed fights so preparations wil be shaby. "We bet lot of money on that guy so you better lose." Hiro said as she was blowing smoke out of her mouth. "Alright." Jacob said with upset voice.
"I will send you exact locations where to go tomorow, see you there." Hiro said and left Jacobs aparment.
-Two days later-
In these two days nothing happed, Jacob was just getting ready for the fight by exercising. The fight was about to begin. Hiro and Dyson was there too to watch Jacobs match. "Aaaaand noow, second match of this niiight! Fiiiiirst fighter Roan Mcintosh with fight score 11 wins and 5 loses is entering the riing!" The comentator yelled to microphone and large wave of shouting claping and yelling came when Roan entered the ring. "The second fighter Jaaaaacob Adams! With fight score zero wins and zero loses, meaning that this is his first fight! Give him huge shout out folks!" Then Jacob entered the ring accompanied by huge shout out. "There are no RULES! No time limit! The fight will end when one of the competitors will be unable to continue! And now, let's get party started!" The fight had started, the audience was yelling to Roan to kill Jacob and other stuff like that.
Roan was fat guy with beer belly so he was slow when he tried to attack Jacob, Jacob easily dodged all the punches, Roan tried it again but this time when Jacob wanted to dodge and move away from Roan he stepped on Jacobs foot and that made him unable to move, Jacob was suprised and that made him defendless. He took on hell of punch and it made him to fly over through the whole ring. Jacobs nose was broken and he was bleeding hardly but he managed to stood up. Commentator was yelling like Jacob was hit and how he was able to stand up. Fight continued and Roan rushed to finish Jacob but as he was coming to him Jacob hit first and send him flying to other side of ring, but Roan blocked it perfectly so he didn't recived any damage, on other hand Jacob was fucked up with just one punch he was that badly hurt. Roan rushed again to him Jacob didn't had any strength to attack so he defended himself by guarding his head, but he was punched to stomach what instatly breaked his rips. His guard dropped now he was defendless, Roan didn't let such chance slip and punched Jacob with his right hand broking Jacobs jaw and sending him outside of the ring.
"WOOAAH, It's seem that Jacob is unable to continue, so today winner is ROAAAN." Comentator said and big wave of cheering and shouting came from audience. On other hand Jacob was in bad state, Dyson who was there, rushed to him and took him to his clinic. When he got there he preformed necessary surgery to save him, thanks to advanced technology that Dyson possesed he was able to repair his bones to original state but that doesn't mean that his body is back to normal, his body is still weak so his bones are too. Surgery took few hours and when it ended, Hiro walked to his clinic. "How can I help you?" Dyson said and approached her, "How is he?" Hiro asked, "He? You mean Jacob?" Dyson answered and showed her lying Jacob covered in bandages. "He was in bad state but he should be fine if he rest for two weeks." Dyson countined talking. "Two weeks? Thats too long. Is it possible for him to fight next week?" Hiro said. "You are joking right? And who the fuck are you in the first place?" Dyson looked at Hiro with death stare, and when he wanted to get closer to her someone pointed gun at his forehead, when Dyson looked who It was it was Hiro´s bodyguard, "One more step and I will blow your head off." Bodyguard said as he loaded his gun.
"You asked who am I. I will tell you then, my name is Hiro Yang and I'm the one who saved Jacob from streets, so you could say I'm his savior who is showing him path to glory." Hiro replied with big smirk on her face, and showed to bodyguard to lower his gun. Bodyguard lowered his gun and walked away from Dyson and stood up next to Hiro. "Savior? Don't make me laugh, you are just using him for your own business and profit, this is not path to glory he would choose, with you he will die sooner as he would die on streets." Dyson said with pissed of tone. "And you? You know each other only few weeks yet you are treating him like you know him for years." Hiro said and crossed her arms. "That's none of your business. At least I don't want to use him like you." Dyson said. "Hm, I will tell you one thing. Enjoy your time with him while you can, because he don't have much time left." Hiro said and again she had her creepy smile on her face. "You fucking bitch." Dyson said and his murderous intent was more noticeable.
"Here, this for his treatment and lot of other stuff." Hiro said, she sent a large amount of eurodollars to Dyson, and he was shocked. "Well I will be on my way, I think we will meet again in near future so see you then." She turned around and left but before she left she told Dyson to not tell Jacob about what Hiro told about him because if he tell him, Dyson will be good as dead. Jacob woke up next day, his body was in total pain, and next to him was Dyson. "You finally woke up, how are you felling?" Dyson asked. "I feel like I was run over by train." Jacob answered. "Here, after this you should feel better." Dyson said and thrown him booster. "It looks expensive, I don't know if I can take something like this from you." Jacob said with weak tired voice. "Don't worry, Hiro was here and she paid for everything." Dyson said and Jacob took the booster. He felt much better after that. "It's only temporary here, there is more but use it only if the pain is unmanageable got it? Dyson said and gave him bag with boosters. "Thanks." Jacob said. After that they talked about how the fight went, how bad his injuries were and when his next fight going to be. All the time Dyson was frustrated because he knew what is going to happen to Jacob.
Jacob was ready to leave Dysons clinic but before he left, Dyson told him one more thing: "Hey Jacob be carefull who do you believe, because you can't trust any one in Night City." Don't worry I will be alright." Jacob replied and went to his apartment. Dyson clenched his fist and thought: "No you won't be alright kid." Dyson sat down on ground and thought how could he help Jacob who's already sleeping in his apartment.
