There was a sudden furor at the office where Lusia worked. When he had just activated the office PC, suddenly several company field workers came carrying one of their colleagues who was covered in blood.
This field worker was screaming in pain due to several stab wounds on his body. His blood seemed to be splattered on the ground as long as he was carried to the company clinic room which was located not far from the office where he worked.
There were screams of pain from the badly injured laborer. Several other office colleagues rushed over with curiosity to see what was going on, while Lusia herself preferred to remain at her desk trembling.
"What is wrong with her?" asked Lusia to one of the other employees who had just entered the room after looking into the clinic room.
"The residents around the plantation go berserk! They are abusing land clearing workers," whispered one of the employees.
Lusia, who had only been working on the oil palm for one week, was immediately terrified.
"So why is the problem?" Lusia asked with worry.
"The villagers do not accept it because our company is working on the land they have protected so far. They threaten to continue to commit acts of violence against the workers if this company continues to operate," he added.
Lusia gasped. He has only worked at the company for one week and still does not understand the ins and outs of the company's problems so far.
Not to mention that he had managed to calm himself down, the same case appeared again. This time, even three workers were transported by company ambulance. The three of them were also covered in blood when they were transported on a stretcher into the treatment room.
Lusia was silent in her seat when she saw the sight. "I want to stop it if things go on like this," hissed Lusia.
"Eeh, no! They only attack workers in the field, not our rich office employees!" said a male employee who had long had his heart for the beautiful and white Lusia.
The head of the company himself, a fat man named Doni immediately came to the office.
In an instant the room where Lusia worked turned into a meeting room attended by company officials.
Doni, the owner of the company, has a cloudy face, half holding back his feelings of annoyance. And the funny thing is, Lusia, who had just worked at the company, was involved as an important employee in the meeting.
"You sit at that table, yes," said Doni, the leader of the company, pointing out a table in the corner of the office. "Later there will be a special assignment for you ..." he continued.
Rina, her high school friend who put Lusia into the company, winked at her.
"It's rare for you, Uncle Doni to behave like that to his office employees who are at our level. That means there is something special about you that catches his attention," whispered Rina. "You are beautiful...!"
Lusia immediately nudged Rina's waist who didn't seem too tense with the excitement.
"Don't comment, no. I just want to earn money to work at this company, and it doesn't mean that I will be able to work here for long if the situation continues to be tense like this ..." whispered Lusia, glaring irritably at her friend from her office.
They had not yet started the meeting, from elsewhere there were screams of pain as before. And again the same sight.
Another farm worker was seen groaning in pain while riding a motorbike through the office yard to the clinic. The worker was also covered in blood.
"If this continues, after a while all the workers in the oil palm plantations will be stabbed ...!" complained Doni, the chairman of the company breaking the silence of the office because of the tension. He then looked at the company staff who had gathered at the table in front of him. "All right, colleagues. I need your attention for a moment," he told the staff to sit back in their seats. "Today we saw for ourselves that some of our field workers have experienced quite severe disturbances from the surrounding villages. It seems that this severe persecution will continue and may result in other victims," he said.
Everyone in the room was tense.
"I hope you don't panic too much. I have asked the authorities to neutralize security disturbances in the field. It's just that my thoughts are the problem, yes, and that too. The problem of our cultivated land. The villagers seem to have been brainwashed for years. with the myths that were breathed out by certain parties, "he continued.
Not long after, a young man walked into the room. A handsome young man with sharp eyes, wearing a black jeans jacket. His face was flat as he took a seat next to the chairman of the company. It seemed that he was an important person in the company, or perhaps someone close to him.
"This is my nephew, who will later occupy the position of head of public relations in this company," said Doni, patting the shoulder of the young man beside him.
"It's easy to get a position if he's still the family owner of the company," grumbled Lusia softly but irritatedly.
Rina just grinned at that. "You're envious, his name is also the owner of the company, that's what he wants," he said.
The young man beside Doni, the owner of the company suddenly looked at him with a smile.
Lusia gasped then hurriedly lowered her face.
"I'll tell him later what you said ...!" Rina teased when she saw Lusia as if she was awry.
"Don't be silly!" Lusia glared.
The company leaders are back on their feet. "All my colleagues. Responding to a situation like this I decided for the time being that my field staff will take a day off first. We will temporarily close no activity until this problem is resolved," he said.
When he heard that a number of company staff looked at each other. There was a whisper, but the voice was not clear.
"Oh don't worry!" Doni smiled. "The salary will continue, I guarantee it," he said quickly.
Several employees clapped their hands. But suddenly Doni's face turned gloomy when he heard the applause, so the clapping employees immediately stopped.
"Do you have the heart to applaud amid the concern of our comrades who were almost killed by being hacked ...?" Doni's voice sounded striking.
